No, that's due to that testing SID. Your phone is scanning for EVDO on the wrong channels.
Ah okay, I suppose that makes more sense now.

And it seems to act the exact way that I thought it would on the iPhone: it only connects to 1x800 and doesn't connect to 3G or PCS LTE.

So i ditched the Verizon force roaming and went straight to using Digi's PRL, and I got this:
Seems like ALU is still using the testing SID for 1x800 in the Charlotte Market.

I have installed the CommCenter patch on my iPhone 5 and am going to first try to force roam onto Verizon (won't keep it that way, just want to try something that I have actually done before). I will report back my results. Wish me luck!

There is a water tower on Rocky River Road in between Hickory Ridge Road and Robinson Church Road that has Clearwire equipment on it. I really wish they would convert that to a full NV site to help with the very spotty coverage that they have in the area.I've seen some of that too... has anyone called Sprint to help out with the coverage in the Rocky River / Lower Rocky River Rd tower by chance? They have a PinPoint system where the request/complaints about service go and there's a tower right at 8030 Lower Rocky River that Sprint could do themselves a solid, hanging off of. There's a desperate need for Sprint coverage out there that the other towers just can't really provide, even with 800.

Dayyum!Look what I picked up today...in High Point. I was at the Palladium IMAX, watching the Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug (indoors, of course). I was blown away...

Correct about FDD, but he talking about changing the uplink and downlink to be asymmetrical, which would, I assume, be illegal.
EDIT: for clarification Asymmetrical FDD isn't illegal but changing what frequencies are uplink/downlink is.
Considering that the upload and download frequencies are not adjacent, it would be impossible without re-branding the whole PCS spectrum block.
So IF the spectrum WAS adjacent, could a carrier change how much of the 10 MHz goes to downlink and how much goes to uplink? Kind of like the 5x5 to 7x3 that afazel was talking about?

I think that is limited to people who say "y'all."
AJ
My parents and I are an exception to that. Being Northern people who are living in the South, you tend to visit some different grocery stores...

hey i just donated my first time! thats all i had in my paypal balance. i was looking to see the towers maps and was also wondering how much premier level is?
Do i need to be on the newest prl to connect to new towers?
i'm on cm 10.2 for samsung gs3, cant update prl without flash back to touchwiz.
thanks!
I can't answer your questions about PRL's, but I can help out with the sponsor info.
Any amount of money donated makes you a sponsor, and that membership lasts for 6 months from your most recent donation. In order to become a premier sponsor, you must accumulate a donation total of at least $100 (although, due to a holiday promotion, you can become a premier sponsor by donating a total of $75 if you donate by midnight tonight). Premier sponsorship does not expire and you get all the benefits a regular member, a sponsor, and a premier sponsor get.
Hope this helps!

This got me thinking... Would two 5x5 carriers have the same capacity as one 10x10 carrier?
As Robert said, it would have the same capacity as 1 10x10 carrier, but you will still have the maximum theoretical download speed as a 5x5 carrier.

I consider my self lucky if it just make's phone call's and text. The computer's you guy's have people like me can't afford proly most people can't now days. Wish I could but my luck some bastard would send me virus and render it useless the first day I get it home. That's my luck with computer's.
Then that means you haven't surfed the web long enough to know how to avoid the viruses

I really didn't mind restoring. Apple makes it easier than any device on the market. Every single setting, app, song, alarm, etc is restored from iCloud to its exact state. Thats one reason why I roll with an iPhone.
Yeah, I do love how easy it is. I'm just not too big on waiting for it sync for 2 hours because of all the content I have
-
Now these developers can finally get their apps rolling. I really think I'll be restoring. The transparency bug on the top bar while on a call or viewing pictures is driving me nuts. Can't see signal bars or clock while on a phone call unless I have my phone against my face (black text on a dark background)
I have had that same exact problem, and it is quite annoying.

Just tried, no luck - restoring now. You need Tetherme installed in addition to iFile, so perhaps Tehterme has not yet been updated. No 800 hunting for us iOS users yet..
Thanks for taking one for the team!

I'll pass. I tried messing with stuff before the update and bricked my connection. I had to restore. All I did was activate the "3G switch" just to see if it added it to the settings menu and I had no data/voice connection, even after undoing what I changed.
Yeah I had too, which is why I asked if anyone wanted to try and mess with it now that the update is out, cause I'm not takin the chance
. I am NOT willing to go through all of the work of restoring then syncing all my apps/songs again!
-
iFile had been updated for iOS 7. I'm not sure if that was required to make it so we can flash new prl's, but if it is, who wants to be the first to try and flash a new prl?

Not all is peachy keen on the isle of magenta...

AJ
(For those who don't see it, allow me to explain, unless I don't see it and I'm just making things up)
"The isle of magenta" because T-Mobile only has "islands" of coverage.
Let that marinate in your minds for a while...

Hi, I didn't know where to post, since I didn't want to start a new thread. I received LTE signal (signalcheck told me) but I didn't get LTE. This happened both in Northern Jersey and New York, on separate days. Is there something wrong with my phone?
It would be good if you elaborate on what you mean, so that we can help you further.

I'm not in the mood to go look at the exact brand names, etc. about all the hardware in my Alienware, but here is the gist of it:
- Whatever the Intel Motherboard is that they put in the Aurora R4's is
- Quad Core 3rd Gen i7 @ 3.6 GHz
- 32 GB of DDR3 RAM (Either 2 x 16 GB or 4 x 8 GB)
- 2 x 3 TB 10,000 RPM HDD
- NVIDIA Geforce 680 GTX 4 GB
- 2 x Blu-Ray Burner/Reader
- 1200 Watt PSU
- Hisense 39'' LCD TV
- Paired with an Onkyo TX-SR705 7.1 Ch AV Reciever, with Bose 301 Series V's as front speakers, and Bose Companion II's as rear speakers
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

EDIT: And, of course, sleep deprevation is getting to me. I'm surprised it took me so long to recognize your name. Since you're a premier sponsor I'm sure you know all about digi's PRL's.
