  1. Call care or go to corporate store and ask. If they act like they don't know what you are talking about they are idiots don't want commission.

If they open up you account on.the upper left of their screen are all your phone numbers. Under each number is that numbers promotions such as "add a tablet" ,"add an doc" and if you have it the third offer down will say "upgrade now $150" or what ever price tier you are at.

    Thank you.

  2. It's already September and there is still no signal of LTE in Albuquerque

No kidding, there's practically more Sprint LTE being picked up in Juarez Mexico than all of New Mexico.

I am with you guys but remember it is not sprint nor the builders. There are so many towers around town that are ready. Blame Centurylink. I am about to go get the "Shame on..." signs from all of the strikers and go down to Centurylink here.  Once the towers are fired up, the city will have great coverage.  All I can ask is to be a little more patient.  Good news is that I have seen several new towers being working on which means that workers have not completely given up on ABQ.

  3. This is a balance between firm growth and ownership loyalty.

One hand, a firm needs to keep growing in an efficient and effective manner to spur revenue growth.

However, depending on the stockholders, return of equity is required in one way or the other (i.e., dividends, stock splits or stock price growth).

  4. e2uzy6ug.jpgCurrently staying the night in Santa Fe. Came down from Durango (visiting from Chicago) this afternoon and stopped in Albuquerque to do errands with my sister (who lives in Durango). No loss of coverage down 550, I faded in and out of roaming on commnet a lot though. I didn't pick up any LTE in ABQ, I was about a mile from a 3G/4G accepted site. In Santa Fe I got good EVDO speeds up in the square/downtown. Where I'm at now is really slow. Coverage seems good in all the towns/cities I've been to and overall (including roaming) I've never had better coverage. On the way down 550 my sisters att phone lost service a lot while I didn't haha. So far most everywhere I've gone has usable EVDO to some degree. I guess not many have sprint in these parts of the country.

No not a lot. It is dominated by Verizon. I get good speeds in Albuquerque except for a few towers at peek times.

  5. Beta 4 is great! So stable. How do you guys like it?

I like the updates to the phone/calling interface.  My first i5 died on beta 2 and i was skeptical to put beta 4 on it. So far it has been smooth sailing.  No issues or bugs.  All of my apps work again (including CNN).

Edit: I also like the circles when calling someone to see their pictures.

  6. Did they mention how long it will take them to deploy 2.5 on all 38k sites? Hopefully by the end of next year.

And then by end of 2015 all WiMAX sites should be converted to LTE

Yes they did mention their plan to deploy. They said the hoped to have a significant number of 2.5 on the sites (sites being Sprint 38K, Clearwire 12K and potentially new sites/locations).

There is no way that all 38K sites plus maybe the 14K Clearwire sites (or maybe subset of those 14K sites) will be completed with 2.5 LTE by end of next year.  I am thinking its going to take a lot longer than end of 2014 to deploy 2.5 LTE on every single Sprint site.

Even if all 38K sites were upgraded with Network Vision equipment right now its going to take at least 2 years because of all that permitting and zoning, availability of equipment and of course manpower.  I am going to guess at least by mid 2016 this should be complete.

I would agree that yes it would be a task to include new 3 antennas on all of the towers. However, if a tower already has backhaul and LTE active, I don't see the hold up.  On the call, it was stated they are going to out to the OEM's and request bidding.  IMO it sounded like it would be separate vendors than NV 1.0.

Let's get a more authoritative answer. Backhaul was the major reason why NV 1.0 was so slow. Is installing panels really gonna take as long as backhaul+panels?

Bingo.  On the call, it was stated to deploy 2.5 would be adding cards/equipment to existing cabinets and an additional antenna per sector. This is similar to what TMO is currently doing and the upgrades that Verizon is doing to its network.

  7. Apple is trying to go for the lower end market, but not that low. those 200 dollar off contract devices have razor slim profit margins, I believe Apple would rather not compete than make a device for "scraps". The new iPhone 5C will probably be in the 300-400 dollar off contract range.

I think they are eyeing China.  Thats why there will be an inexpensive phone.

  8. Elfman said the company will have a few tri-band handsets in the fourth quarter that will support the company's spectrum holdings in the 2.5 GHz, 1.9 GHz and 800 MHz bands. Beginning in 2014, all of the devices Sprint sells will support the 2.5 GHz band. But Elfman said that comment should be taken with regard to all devices except for the iPhone, which he declined to comment on.

If you listened to the call, he couldn't back track faster.  It was quite funny.

Edit: If you know the phone is going to work, why not throw the promise out there.

  9. Just listened. Begin zoning, leasing and documentation completed.  Working with the vendors for 2.5.  Several thousand sites up based on Clearwire.  However, through 2014 most sites will be able completed faster.

% of 38K sites. Close to 100% of sites are expected and truthfully more.  Sprint sites, Clearwire sites and more. Interesting.

I hope they work with the OEM's to get these antenna's out for the markets that already have LTE and incorporate going forward.  Very exciting.
