How do you report this issue to T-Mobile? Has the My Sprint App network issue reporting tool been deprecated at this point?

Ive actually called in to report the issue. I have insane speeds in McLean and Chesterbrook but right south and to the west you lose serve all together. I get the foliage. I have been told there is an outstanding ticket. What they need is a new tower located at Longfellow Middle School. I think that would correct all issues in this dead spot. There is not a Sprint or Tmo tower in this area.

December 4th is coming up, making it 2 years since they launched nationwide 5G on n71. With them reaching 200M covered with n41 early, I think they plan on having NR CA and VoNR launch happen then.

I live the Northern VA outside of DC and we need VoNR desperately. Losing access to 800x has been awful. I can't keep a phone call outside of my house. Always drops. I don't really have access to LTE but have 1 bar of 5G that goes in and out.

B26 has just as much bandwidth as PCS-G outside the Southeast/IBEZ, though I likewise think PCS-G will be the last spectrum dedicated to Sprint. Since Sprint has B26 on effectively every site, it contributes just as much capacity as 5 MHz of B25, maybe more due to higher RSRP.

As for PCS NR, some phones already support n25 but that support is inconsistent. Either way, betting Sprint's network is long gone before there's no LTE in PCS.

As for B41, as I'm typing this the nearest B41 cell site is already down to 15 MHz, and Austin is down to a single 20 MHz carrier. Betting that Sprint B41 will be gone before B25 goes down to 5x5.

B26 has been turned off in all of the ABQ market. I cannot get anything to connect to it. All phones on my line cannot. I have some travel soon so I will see if it is available in other parts of the state I don't travel often.

It is interesting to note that I have even seen a few massive mimo panels on several Tmo towers in the ABQ market. I believed it would have been the last to see it. My wife has an 12pro now so maybe ill be able to see if it pops up.

  5. Well something happen in ABQ this weekend. Noted some trouble data wise, but this morning at my house both my wife's iphone 8 plus and my XS Max were on Tmobile. On my run it was connected who time. I live in North Albuquerque Acres.

Went to work downtown and I noted it switched back to Band 41. Up at my house there is no band 41 (at least usable), so perhaps that is how they are bring on Sprint folks.

Do you all think T-Mobile will reconfigure the Magic Boxes to allow them to connect to one of their bands instead of band 41?  Just wondering the usefulness of the Magic Boxes going forward since it seems they are desperately trying to keep us from connecting to Sprint Bands.  The magic box still has an excellent connection to the sprint tower though.

My magic box connects to band 25. Only G block though.

I might as well add this I know it won’t mean much , but sprint has started to add massive mimo in El Paso after finishing up the b41 rollout on all sites

Do you have a capable phone? This is the time to go out and spot some towers! Nothing else to do.

An important question is whether Sprint will continue to sell/activate new devices which are not completely T-Mobile compatible?

A second question is whether T-Mobile will offer any incentives for Sprint customers to stay, rather than jump to Verizon or AT&T?  And if they do offer incentives, when can we get them?

Your second question is my main question. I would save some money by switching. Just no point right now to do so.

They are installing new RRHs according to the screenshots. Who is the vendor?

There are two permits for this site. First one says, remove and replace antennas. The second one is installing new RRH's and hybrid cables.

The first does not have a vendor but second is Infinigy. I looked them up. They are a telecommunications company out of NY.

I wonder if they need a permit.

    I think I found permits.

The City of Albuquerque website is hard to search but best to do by address of tower. This is a tower close to me. I know Tmo already put up 600 and 700 prior. This is what I just found. I included picture of google maps.

Edit: the vendor noted is not one Sprint has used in the past. The tower only has Tmo (top) and Sprint (second).

OpenSignal tested every carrier's 5G network and determined that Sprint had the fastest average combined 4G/5G speeds out of the big 4.

    https://www.opensignal.com/2020/02/20/how-att-sprint-t-mobile-and-verizon-differ-in-their-early-5g-approach

I read the article, and I believe this shows the power of 2.5 when it comes to deployment of 4G/5G. When I am on 2.5 4G LTE, I consistently am between 75 to 140 MBs. That is already really good. If it was more widely deployed in Albuquerque, I am positive they would be speed kings.

I am excited where Tmo could take this. I am a little jealous that I am in Albuquerque and not in a bigger city. Who knows. Tmo might have a plan in the next 18 to 24 months to push Massive Mimo on a lot of towers.

    https://newsroom.sprint.com/sprint-corporation-schedules-fiscal-2019-third-quarter-results-announcement.htm

    OVERLAND PARK, Kan.
, Jan. 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint Corporation (NYSE: S) will release its fiscal 2019 third quarter financial results on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020. The results, including a message from management, will be posted at www.sprint.com/investors at approximately 8 a.m. ET. Sprint management will not host a conference call.

No call again. I have a feeling there won't be another call if the merger is approved. However, if it is not approved, there will have to be a CYA call to explain the next steps for the company.

    From Market Realist News:

Sprint (S) is set to release its second-quarter earnings results on November 4 before the market bell. The company’s second quarter ended on September 30. It won’t host a conference call with analysts after releasing its earnings results.

Odd!   this is the second time Sprint will not do a live Earnings call.    This just says (to me) the news will not be very good.

I have been an auditor on several engagements where the auditee was in a M&A takeover or purchase and did not do a call. They only provided guidance. In my experience, it is not uncommon but those were low fortune 1000 companies, not a top 200 company.

I think you may be reading into the move a little too much.

Ok I found out what that earfcn is coming from.

Got home from work and thought I would tinker with my magic box. Sure enough it is that. At work, I am close enough to someone who has a MB
