Correct that technology is not accepted but everything is there. So no 4G LTE underway then?

How do we tell if a stealth/flag pole site has been updated. I have three around me with very large concrete walls and i don't want to jump it to see.
As an aside, I have not seen a site like this accepted yet on the maps.

Tmo is even patchy in Santa Fe. Mid Cerillos is a dead zone. Can't even make a phone call. Tmo is god awful between ABQ and Santa Fe too. Also, indoor coverage can be pretty crappy in ABQ. Where Tmo has zero bars, Sprint usually at least has one or two. But where Tmo is good, it's very good.

This is what i tried to tell them. however, they took the bait today and switched. Interesting, Tmo is making you turn in your phone for them to pay your early termination fee and it is only up to 5 lines.

The second rack is sprints. I believe this site was already accepted by sprint (3G only)This is the Tower on Carlisle and Candleria

In the 800 thread, someone in Wisconsin has been picking it up and it stays on 800. He airplanes and got back on b25 but lost it and the 5s switched over to b26.The answer is no, we will have to rely on the device to do so.

I tried to convince my inlaws to stay with sprint but they just moved 5 lines to tmo during the current promotion. They don't leave the city except up to Santa Fe now and then. Overall I think it is good move in the current time but in six months this could be a dumb/ redundant decision.

IF this is true for the market as a whole, I will be pissed.

Wouldn't enabling the two LTE bands have the same effect? (well, minus the "spark" icon) Or is there more to it?
In Dallas, is there a way to see what areas in Dallas can expect to get benefit from this now? Sprint.com/coverage doesn't really say much about spark coverage
Look at the wimax coverage. As B41 is overlay is under Clearwire right now, I would bet that the towers for wimax are the most likely. Also in the Premier section, we have every clearwire tower and what phase (1 or 2) it is scheduled to be upgraded. Just fyi

I can't keep a call tonight. I was talking to my brother in Iowa for 20/30 minutes and I dropped twice. I usually have sub 90db at my house. I called Sprint Support and they are giving credits (not much mind you). I can only imagine what Chicago was like with all the dropped calls.

The sipped over there is overburdened. Hopefully the stealth site at old Mci is updated as well to help.

I was patiently waiting in the car.I was in the same Dillard's yesterday (unfortunately) and was getting horrible service. However, not joke, the sheer number of people there was frightening and I suppose the nearest switch could have been a little overwhelmed. I nearly jumped for joy when my girlfriend agreed, it wasn't worth the efforts to be in that store on that day and we left.

I didn't think of that.Did you try a few servers? It could have actually just been a server problem causing slower throughput.

With that kind of ping, things that only use small amounts of data will feel very fast. That could just be a provisioning problem at the switch. I don't recall ever seeing a ping that low with a speed that low before.

I would have to agree. Interesting was that I took the screen shot on my phone and I was able to upload the picture over 3G.

So the link is the speed test at Dillard's at i40 and Louisiana. I can't believe that I got 105 ping with as many people that are here. Speed wasnot outstanding. However I was pulling we pages just fine.

I heading over to central soon for church. I will run some tests on the accepted towers.

What were your speeds?
I was the same as above. Dl in the 2's. However my ping was slightly higher in 120's.

If these recent 3G tests were indeed on new backhaul, then the only thing to fire up those sites with LTE is for an LTE integration team to get back to the market. This is the most positive news I've heard out of New Mexico in a long time.

I have to agree. It was a tough Christmas break and a few weeks before.

I was at the new Starbucks at academy and Wyoming this morning. I was getting same speeds. Here is the speed test for the Wyoming & Montgomery Area.

I had to run to work real quick to grab something and looked out the window. People were on the top of the UBS bank building (Louisiana and Indian School). I got a picture of one of the new antennas and RRUs. So pumped it will be out my window. I pray that they are off tomorrow. No one needs to work on Christmas.

Thanks that makes sense
I can tell you there is almost too much information. It will be an overload for a while.

Merry Christmas peeps
I'm Jewish. Just kidding. My parents are. So I have had quite a holiday already. Happy holidays, merry Christmas and new year to all.

The upgraded equipment is not having any problems. There are two main problems occurring.
One is dropped calls, which is happening because legacy sites can cause interference and not play well with upgraded sites. Also sites are being worked on and going on and offline.
Two data speeds/throughput caused by backhaul. Backhaul is the site's high speed internet connection. Most Sprint sites around ABQ are still connected to legacy bundled T1's for backhaul. Even ones with new equipment. CenturyLink is currently upgrading backhaul around ABQ for Sprint. When the new fiber CL connections are made, data speeds will go way up and LTE can start coming online.
So, neither of these are symptoms of problems with newly installed base equipment. We are nearing the end of problems in NM. But it's likely to get a little worse before it gets better. I think we're about 30 days away from starting to really turn a corner. But CenturyLink is a wild card and very hard to pin down.

I don't mean to be dramatic, but today driving on I25 south at I40, I lost a call three times. I was on a call later on at my house and it would not go through. It was crazy day.

I don't think anyone seriously thinks the 6 won't have LTE 2600. That's interesting that the China 5S will have it earlier though.
Interesting? I think the potential customer base anyone would make it happen. Also band 38 includes a good portion of band 41. To get to 41 apple just has to modify slightly.
