  1. Like trying to swipe-up Control Center? Beyond a few glitches and performed bugs, I haven't experienced any major issues. I would make an appointment to see somebody at the Apple Store, if I were you. They'll probably replace the phone, no questions asked. Hopefully they have some replacement phones available. Do you have a 6 or 6+? I can't remember. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  2. I haven't seen any wifi issue or accelerometer issues on my 6+. I'm currently on 8.0.2 and didn't experience any issues on 8.0 either. Were you running one of the new betas? Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  3. You may have a bad copy. I would maybe take it back to Apple and see what they think. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  4. I see your battery life and raise you. My iPhone 6+'s battery life is amazing. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk

    LG G3

I've not seen this on my G3. My copy is flawless. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  6. The iPhone 6's RF performance is regarded as being as good as the LG G3 and the newest Nexus 5 radios. My iPhone 6+, however, will hold unto an ALMOST unusable B41 signal and won't let go until north of -122dBm. The B41 cutoff should be more close to -118dBm, if it were my decision. At -118 dBm, B41 will still smoke a good B25/26 signal in pure performance, but not at -120+dBm. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  7. An overburdened site throttles itself, so it would be hard to tell if you're actually being throttled unless you had a separate line to cross reference your speeds with. Obviously both phones would have to be on the same site/band. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  8. I obviously wasn't being serious. My wife has an old 3GS that is totally beat up and still turns on and works perfectly. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  9. It's is not the iPhone. B41 has pretty good range when compared to B25, even on the old Clearwire equipment. I observed this same exact thing on my G3. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  10. I'm referring to the RF performance of B41 vs. B25, not speed. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  11. While I'm seeing some bugs here and there in iOS 8, I haven't had any rebooting issues. My biggest grip is the lack of app support for the new screen size, but that is a dev issue. I'm getting lag and stuttering with certain actions such as Control Center and Spotlight. Beyond that, my 6+ is really smooth. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  12. In my area, it is not nearly that drastic. B41 performs about -2 to -8dBm worse than B25 from the same site, in most circumstances. I've seen B41 perform identical to B25 from the same site, too. It really depends. I expect 88er equipment to perform really close to B25. Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  13. In other news, when is Tapatalk going to update their POS app for the new iPhones????????? #WorstDevTeamEver Sent from my iPhone 6+ using Crapatalk
  14. Between the new iPhone 6s and how well competitors like LG and HTC are doing, this doesn't surprise me. I've never been a Samsung fan anyway. Competition is good for everybody, though.
  15. Correct, my question was in regards to Framily. He stated he was on the Framily plan.
  16. How are you on Framily and iPhone for life, at the same time?
  17. Loving this battery life. This was under heavy usage. I can't wait to see how good it gets after a few more charge cycles.

    LG G3

I never insinuated that the problem stemmed from the G3, I hold the G3 totally harmless. It is an amazing handset and I surely already miss it. The new iPhone is great in its own right - Is it perfect? IMHO, no. I have many gripes about the new iPhone and very few if any of the G3. I miss the G3's LCD more than anything. I know some people say the iPhone 6+ has a better screen minus pure resolution, but I actually think the G3 has the better screen in just about every category and is actually brighter/easier to read in the daylight. Beyond that, there are a lot of benefits (and curses) to being engulfed in the Apple Ecosystem and for some, it is just too difficult to escape. As good as Android is now, there are some things that iOS just does a little better and vise versa. My ultimate OS would be a combination of iOS and Android.

    LG G3

This is an issue and people have complained about it. iMessage links your phone number and your iTunes email address. Sometimes Apple's servers won't disassociate a former iOS users phone number and will keep trying to send the text through the iMessage servers. Group MMS' are where the problem really rears its ugly head. I would receive some messages from some people in my group MMS and not others, all of which are iOS users. It was not good and terribly unreliable.

    LG G3

Yup. Despite all of my efforts. It was supremely frustrating, to say the least. Being in the music industry, I have to be able to stay in-touch with my colleagues and management, etc. I really do miss my G3, believe me. It will always have a fond place in my heart.

    LG G3

Just letting you G3 guys know, I'm no longer a part of the party. I ended up going back to iOS for now. I was having too many issues with not getting texts messages from iOS users (almost my whole group of friends and colleagues). I will surely miss my G3! It is a great phone. My pristine G3 is for sale, and that makes me somewhat sad. Great handset!
  22. You're correct, B41 is much faster, even at low signals, to a certain extent. Anything over -118dBm is not going to be very fast on B41. I've found that anything better than -114dBm is typically much faster than what you'd typically see on B25/26 with a decent signal. I think the cutoff should be -118dBm, personally.
  23. I've had about a day with the 6+ and was able to do some RF tests in comparison with my G3. Basically, this phone has about the same RF performance in B25/B26 than the G3, which performs really well. B41 is a little different as the iPhone is showing slightly better signal over the G3, but speeds are roughly identical. Maybe the iPhone is reporting the RF measurement differently? So all-in-all, the iPhone 6 has excellent RF characteristics and pretty much matches the G3. The G3 is considered one of the best out there right now, so this is a very good thing! The LTE scan times are insane on the 6+, however. The phone will also stay camped on B25/B26 until a data session is initiated, then it'll switch to an available B41 connection and will stay until it either looses B41 or the download is finished, then it will switch back to one of the FDD bands. The only issue is the fact that the iPhone 6 will hang-on to an unstable B41 signal in favor of a decent B25/26 signal. I've seen it stay connected to B41 at -120dBm, which my G3 would never attempt - which nets speeds much slower than a good B25/26 signal on an unburdened site. -120dBm is good for about 1-2mbps down and about the same up on B41. It gets much faster at even -118dBm. Side note: Field Test works much better in iOS 8 than it ever did previously. I'm very happy to report this fact. It still doesn't scale properly (or course), but I can actually do the RF signal trick now, whereas it was a crap-shoot in IOS7.
