  1. That sucks. Seems terribly wrong. I've never once seen anything close to these speeds in Jax proper. Of course, in the city our site density is pretty dense, but we also have many many more sub per square mile than Ocala. We also have B41, but even before B41 and B26 was prevalent, B25 was never close to being this slow. You guys need B41 badly. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Clean the system cache (settings > general > storage > cached data). Click on cached data and then click yes. Shut down and remove battery for 10 secs, then do a couple of reboots. This helped me a lot after a factory reset and restore. My battery life is better on the 5.0.1 update than it was on Kit Kat. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Even after a factory reset? Have you cleared the system cache manually? Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  4. Clear B41 the WHOLE time on both the G3 and iPhone 6+. B26 is optimized in most of my market (Jax), but in a lot of areas, it isn't needed. Baptist Hospital in downtown Jax is blanketed by strong Clear B41 as well as complete and optimized NV sites (I live three blocks from the hospital on the St. Johns River). Downtown Jax is an impressive showing for Sprint. I had B41 even in the elevators. Thanks, BTW!! Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  5. Thank you guys! We literally just got home from the hospital! Both momma and baby are perfectly healthy. This is our first, so it's very surreal and 110% awesome! Sorry for derailing this thread. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  6. I just updated to the new beta. It is working great on my end. My wife and I just had a baby boy, so it has taken me a little while to get caught up. So far so good! Keep up the great work! Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  7. I still use my iPhone 6+, but I DD my G3. I went back to my G3 for Daily Driver duty about 1.5 months ago. I just really prefer my G3 for DD, it is easier to use one-handed and I REALLY like Android 5.0. Of course, there are things I prefer on the 6+ over the G3. Battery, camera in low-light...etc. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  8. I certainly hope they don't make the display smaller. The current size is PERFECT, IMHO. The G3 is a joy to hold and use, especially compared to my beastly iPhone 6+. The G3 is my daily driver because of this and I have fairly large hands. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Well, that certainly sucks. Did you create a proper backup? I made two, just in case. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  10. That is exactly my point. I just put the 1x in parenthesis to denote 1 times 20mhz TDD, 2 times 20mhz TDD.....etc. Otherwise, people might get confused. 20+20 works too. I guess we'll just cross that bridge when we get to it. Regardless, I'm super stoked that we're even talking about this app for iOS and that it is becoming a reality. 11. September is right around the corner. I'm expecting the next iPhone to feature at least 2xCA in B41. My recommendation was to put the 1x in (): (1x) 20Mhz or (2x) 20Mhz....etc. It wont mess with his FDD format too much. It would be nice to have the TDD behind it too: (1x) 20Mhz TDD. Of course, I have no idea what his limitations are at this point. It really doesn't matter to me, as long as it makes sense. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  12. Looks good. Since B41 is TDD LTE, is it possible to change the 1x20mhz to (1x) 20mhz TDD or something like that. Then each additional B41 carrier in aggregation could be (2x) 20mhz TDD and so on. Of course the current crop of iPhone can't do carrier aggregation, but at least you'll be ready when they do finally implement CA for a future iPhone (6s, 7?) Otherwise, I have no idea what limitations you have. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

For anybody that has upgraded via OTA, I highly recommend doing a factory reset and restore. After getting tired of seeing the weird animation stutters and performance issues, I went ahead and did it. I'm glad I did. My phone behaves the way it should now. BTW, I used the stock LG backup tool to totally backup and restore, it worked flawlessly. There is no need to use a third-party backup app, which surprised me. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  14. My G3 is slightly better at B41 in signal strength, but what really surprises me is that the iPhone 6+ will drop to B25/26 while the G3 is still latched on to B41. Both of which have usable B41 signal (-110 to -114dBm). The G3 reports about 1-3dBm better on B41. They are almost identical on B25/26. I could never have noticed this without CellularInfo and for that, I am extremely grateful! Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  15. No more Field Test!!!! This is a God-send. In the first hour of having this app installed, I realized straight away that my G3 holds onto B41 much much longer than my iPhone 6+. I never noticed this before, because I could never catch this in time using Field Test. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

New update on my Android 5.0.1 experience: Overall, I really like Android L. It has made the G3 faster at most things, but it isn't without its bugs. I've experienced some lag here and there and a few strange animation stutters with certain actions (like pulling down the notification shade when there are more than two notification cards present). I don't particularly like the fact that you can no longer see more than two notification cards on the lock screen. As for battery life, it seems to be about the same as before the update. It has normalized since I cleared the system cache and rebooted the phone a few times. Other than that, I think it is a move in the right direction! Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Judging by this, I got really lucky. I was able to get the OTA the morning of the first day of the rollout. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  19. I've had several speed tests over 100mbps in Jax on my G3. I chalked it up to an error, but it has happened. All on B41. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Are you seeing issues with insane battery drain after the update? I've rebooted the phone and pulled the battery a few times. If it doesn't get any better, I'm going to do a factory reset. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

I'm thinking I may need to do a factory reset and restore. My battery isn't doing so well. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Just a quick update on my experience so far with Android L 5.0.1: It is very snappy! The G3 seems to run much faster on Android L. The jury is out on battery consumption. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

I just checked manually and it started the download. It will be rolled out in waves - I'm not sure if that includes manual checking or not. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
