  1. I seen this happen a few times in the city, they fixed most of the places over time but it still can be an issue.\ Also the verizon fan boy's have likely never seen a speed test like this one:
  2. This is what happen's when all you have is 10x10 LTE and every one and there bro thought it would be cooler to join verizon. The sadest part is that sprint 3G get's about the same DL speed and better upload speed in that area.
  3. I could try to make a 2nd on paper petition that's like your's for some to sign. I am unsure of what else to do at this time, but yea teaming up sounds good.
  4. I just asked because I live close to where the homes are being built, like I am see them being built from my yard close. Though if I am luckier than a guy who win's both lottery jack pots I may be moving into one of the homes destined to get 1gbs along with a salt water pool. Though the odds are so against me, the force is not on my side for getting in to the internet magical neighborhood.
  5. Yep that's totally happened to me. More on topic though, when do you think century link will let us get the 1gbs plan or if we on the ave can even get it?
  6. That's what I thought, though in japan they are rolling out 2gbs down/ 1gbs up for I think about 50 USD a month. I think 1gbs is just fine, well better than fine more like the boss of internet connections.
  7. I know, I was just checking to make sure it was 2.5gbs to the home than to the node or backhaul. Oddly today I got the fastest speeds I have ever gotten off Verizon wireless in town today. 52.67mbs down and 14.42mbs up. I guess I just needed to speed test in the right spot. I just wish I could pull that kind of speed at my house or time warner cable could put out that kind of down load paired with that nearly 15mbs upload. I hope century link will hook my house up with FTTH even though the best I can get is 10mbs right now.
  8. I have used 150Gb on AT&T in 15 days before with hulu, netfilx and game downloads due to an ISP issue. I could see 300GB of use with LTE and more downloads/ more than one PC using the connection. Also on Verizon they do have unlimited tethering add-on if you want it. I know a few who say they have used a 1TB in the UK with a unlimited data plan. ( The high users get throttled in the day to 4mbs or what ever then get full speeds at night. )
  9. First I will say that I think sprint in most cases is a better deal/better network than T-Mobile. The only point I was trying to make is that there are things you can do with T-mobile that you can't do with sprint, but also I was commenting about Verizon and as a Verizon user I know they aren't the best every ware and that it's always best to check out in person the networks/phones before buying them and to use the 14/30 day returns if it's bad. As for the GS4 on Verizon and AT&T the boot loader is locked and also having a pure unlocked nexus is nice to have and will not cost 400+. The next google phone will likely be coming around and it likely won't cost 400+ or sadly have CDMA so those will be signing up for T-mobile if they don't want to give AT&T there money.
  10. Though I agree $90 a month is high, 1GB of data VS true unlimited 4G data is kind of a big deal and if you live in a big city T-mobile's network is most likely better. I know I surely would never sign up for Verizon in new York city due to all the network issues they have there. Also not having a contract is nice along with getting some thing like a nexus 4 that is unlocked and not full of network spy ware and junk. If you don't mind a 2 year contract and a locked down phone sprint is a better deal. If you have to get voice out in the sticks no matter what then Verizon. If you want the best GSM based network then AT&T. Every network has it's ups and down's and pricing is not the only thing that matters.
  11. That's what I thought, but I think it's stupid for it to get 500kbs when that's what sprint 3G get's there and every one on sprint is unlimited and verizon is caped for the most part unless you have a unlimited plan like I do, but most don't. Edit: I hope I can also sign up for any possible 1Gbs internet they may be doing. As much as I hated them before, I would be willing to give it a shot for $80 a month. Though from what I read it looked like they could give you 2Gbs with the lines and box's they are putting up or was I misreading it?
  12. So time warner didn't get picked or did some one else step up to the plate? Also I wonder if I should call Verizon and tell them to fix there tower near the US 1/I 540 mall? The 4G speeds there 100% in the trash.
  13. I forgot that cable works off spectrum like cell phones do, my mistake. Like 5x5 LTE is faster than 5x5 WCDMA. I looked up docsis 3.1 and it looked like they could only do 1000/100 with out overselling it to high. Due to only being 10gbs down and one up to the node. But still that is cool they can do that with cable. Though I really think FTTH is the only way to go in the long run. P.S I think Centruy link your 100% right they are a D, My internet got cut off for 2 weeks and they just basely told me to hang up, it's fixed when it's fixed. Then even when it was "working" I never got the 7mbs I should have been getting later "upgraded" to 10 for free. It went on then off like a old light bulb. No matter what I did, they didn't care. So I went to TWC and good bye went them. I still have the POS modem they gave me, I told them if they wanted it back they would have to give me a box to ship it back or come get it. They did not care to do that, but did love getting there ETF fee that I had TWC pay for.
  14. I read on avg TWC only has 300-350mbs of bandwith to the node. How are they going to give a home user 1Gbs with only less than 500mbs to the node serving the area? I guess they would upgrade the fiber backhual before turning 1gbs on along with docsis 3.1.
  15. I signed. I also hope time warner cable does not "Enjoy better" via killing 1gbs and jacking there rates even more due to the "loss's" from having to ensure they didn't have to build out a better network via some very unhanded back door deal's.
  16. http://www.speedtest...d/446256294.png Here's one with 104 dbm. You don't even want to know what happens on the weekends at that mall. That was on LTE, not wifi or 3g. Also yes the sprint 3G speed test about the same in there. AT&T speed test at 4mbs down and 1 up on H+/3g and 15+ down/ 5mbs up on LTE just for an idea of how bad Verizon has failed the area. At home it works ok and in most places out side the RDU it works well. I some times think I live in NYC when I see such poor data speeds from LTE though. At lest most of the time it cracks 2mbs outside of that mall of death. There is sprint LTE out side the mall, but the tower closest to it does not have it yet or at lest that's what they told me when I asked to try. They also thought it was funny that my Verizon LTE speeds were so slow.
  17. They really should just move to 100% LTE and just have some 1X for old phone's. There is no point to moving to UMTS now.
  18. In my house I only get 5mbs with Verizon 4G LTE and the best in town speeds of 10-14mbs on avg, max 30mbs next to tower. In the RDU area speeds have gone down the tubes into the 2-3mbs down/ 1up like AT&T 3G speeds but with better ping. They need some 1700/2100 very soon. The worst I have seen:
  19. So how is the CDMA radio? I know the one in the S3 is known to be a bit on the weak side VS most phone's. It's not that big of a deal to me, but I have had some issues with voice call's on the CDMA S3. Thanks
  20. I know this well. It took 10 calls to tech support before they replaced my phone the first time for signal issues. Took a FCC and BBB filing the 2nd time. I had to say they ware throttling me because I could not put my sim into a 2nd phone and they said the phone was "fine". After I had sent my videos to the FCC and told them about the issue, I will just say Verizon made thing's work. But then they took flash player support away in 4.0.4 when it should have still worked. The update broke so many thing's that I nearly sued Verizon in small claims court. It was a Droid branded phone, so I felt like they ware the ones to pin down. If it was a galaxy s4 then I would have pined Samsung, but because Verizon branded it under there "Droid" trade mark and Motorola didn't want to deal with it I pined it on Verizon. In truth I likely could have taken them both to small claims court and asked for a full refund of 600-650+ sales tax. On top of that I would have gotten $5000 from Verizon if I had won and that would have not been hard because they still had flash support listed on there web site along with ICS even though flash player did not work any more on that phone with that update.
  21. I really think t-mobile would be the best fit for the 600mhz block due to them only having 1700/2100 for LTE and 1900 PCs for 3g/2g. Sprint is going to have 800,1900,2500 and AT&T has 700, 1700/2100 and now 2000 Verizon has 700 and now 1700/2100. So I think T-mobile is the best fit, but the more the better I guess if sprint want's to have 20mhz more bandwith along with better in building speeds.
  22. Cool so who is the petition going to and are they doing 1gb FTTH or just FTTH in that hood. I can and have walked to were that hood is being built. I will have to check it out now that I am back in the area.
  23. I really hope it go's some where and time warner cable doesn't screw it all up. I will sign the petition when you make it. Also as a side note, did you code the site from scratch your self? If so I think it look's good so far.
  24. Is sprint's network really that bad here or are you talking about Verizon or both? I am out of town, so I was going to go into a sprint store to see how there network has been going, but if it's that bad I may just wait a bit. That new sub division is not going to help thing's after it's built.
  25. I have a unlimited AT&T wireless data plan that does not throttle. Also youtube, netflix and hulu to a 46in HD TV will use the data very fast. Time warner cable says they don't throttle, but there network is so poor that they may as well be throttling me. They block web sites like youtube/netfilx if you use it too much. many users have been getting nailed by time warner cable lately. If you youtube "throttling" time warner cable is at the top. Even higher than AT&T throttling it's so bad. They limit it to the point even 140p video is unplayable on youtube. But at lest I have 0 packet loss now. (Before it was 58-60%. You don't even want to know how bad that was. FIO's guys count your lucky stars, you have it made.
