  1. If they do, then they better upgrade all there 2G footprint. I live in an area where T-Mobile's "4G" doesn't make it to my house or any were else in my town even though the map they have online says most of the town is under "4G". (My house though is 50/50 in the map may or may not be 3/4G. )
  2. I am learning to play options with paper trading, if you guys think stocks are hard just wait till you lose 80% in a day because you were out all day. (I know most of you are playing with real money so its not the same as losing real money by a long shot.) One big thing I see is it really, really helps to trade about the same amount of money each time because you never know when your going to be right.
  3. I just hope the plans don't become my way or the high way plans or the all in or nothing plan for the old plan users. For me it's a better deal due to being a one line user that is still thinking about coming over to the yellow side of the force.
  4. On AT&T I am out of contract and when I told them if they didn't lower there rate I was going to T-mobile they took off more than I thought they would be willing to, so if you are wanting to save money you could try that. ( Don't know if Verizon cares all that much, but still I would give it a shot. saving 10-20 a month is better than full price every time.)
  5. May as well be Verizon's 4G LTE in west VA and the state of Ohio with big hole's of no signal of any kind. Or T-mobile's 4G sadly.
  6. Does your contract not end till Sep 2014 or is that when your going to upgrade?
  7. Well with me renewing my unlimited data plan with them next month and the rest of the 3G users going to 4G LTE we will overload the network till it bombs in a mushroom cloud.
  8. Verizon only cares about having the "biggest" 4G LTE foot print not the best as they love to clam. I was yelling and screaming this over a year ago, but no one seemed to know any better. So if your market go's to crap they don't care unless it get's really really really bad with 56k speeds on top. I know this better than most because I had to report them to both the FCC and BBB for "throttling" that was really a bad phone they would not replace after 15+ calls to CS and bad towers. I had to deal with no data for days 3 times in the month of dec of 2011. The only ones who are getting "saved" from the madess are the NYC and LA guys. My market won't likely be seeing AWS any time soon and there is no way your going to get Verizon to spend money to upgrade there network were they already have it on that map they love so much to sell. If you have seen what Verizon did with there 3G network, that's what they are going to do with there 4G network. They will just sit on it till 5G comes out and do the same thing. No need for them to change, because they have gains month over month. AT&T for years has been about having the fastest data network, and will likely try to hold that place. Though I think soft/sprint will end up besting every one soon. Still waiting for them to fix LTE in my home market. (It was up, but for now it's been down for the most part.)
  9. That was new, but I can't crack 1mbs 90% of the time here in Myrtle beach. Don't live here, but don't get much over 2-3mbs most of the time in my home market down to sub 500kbs in some places. Verizon CS likely knows me better than they know there own kids. LOL I haven't called them yet about this, because when I was out of state for a month. It showed the area and address as a 4G LTE, but couldn't even hardly get 3G and never saw 4G LTE unless I went out of that area. I called CS got a "ticket" and they came back with fringe area. I said that's not what the map showed by far and that basely for that area a lie. They didn't nor would not give me any thing off my bill for the many dropped calls or not being able to use data most of the time. I may send them the screen shots but I don't think I will get any were seeing as I am leaving tomorrow and don't live there. Here's a video showing what I have mostly been getting from the big red here:
  10. heres a pic of even slower speeds yesterday: Enjoy the salt rubbing into Verizon fans about how they have the best LTE. Upload didn't even want to run, likely due to that 1000+ ms ping.
  11. I guess AT&T is glad they put LTE up there now. Wish they had put it up here at the beach, 150kbs on Verizon LTE and 200 kbs on AT&T's H+ sucks. Oh and the "free" wifi works..... sometimes at 500-700kbs. Sprint needs some LTE here on the 2500 band and lot's of it.
  12. Even at 10:30pm here on the 4th, data is at a stand still. Upload is over loaded to the point of just craziness. AT&T: Verizon: That is a in the gutter network right there. The 4th of DOOM has killed all or at lest the big two.
  13. Yep Every thing here seems to suck this week. Speed test AT&T: 1: 2: 3: Verizon speed test:
  14. TMO really needs to at lest get nation wide 5x5 if not 10x10. Sprint I don't think should bid on it unless they can do 10x10 or make quad band LTE phones with out much issue. AT&T may need some of it due to only having 5x5 700 in a lot of places. (That was of there own doing of course, but the past is the past.) Verizon really needs to put down any thing it can to up there speeds in some market's, it getting really bad in some places. They may bid on it too. In short every one could use it, but I think most agree T-mobile needs it the most.
  15. This area is 100% overloaded, Just here for a bit but this market really needs LTE and lot's of it. Verizon's 4G LTE is getting 100% crushed under the load and AT&T's H+ in some places won't even ping the network with full signal. Video: Speed test out at dinner last night: http://www.speedtest.net/android/501976820.png Hope Sprint can put 2500 here to take the beating.
  16. I just hope sprint can keep the avg speeds up than peak speeds like Verizon loves to scream. Though that doesn't do any good if your day time speeds are like this:http://www.speedtest.net/android/501976820.png Yep that was with near full signal too. taken in SC at the beach. Also waiting on tri-band phone/LTE to work in my city. I will have to say t-mobile in the bigger citys is likely in the best place right now for data speeds. (Could be wrong though.) Edit: A bit offtopic, but how much is Softbank going to pay per share for sprint? Thanks
  17. I love and hate this town at the same time. We are getting a 1Gbs internet, but unless something changes only one area is getting it. We had Sprint LTE and then it was taken away. And T-mobile is putting up LTE in the RDU, but not here that is stuck with 2G. Oh well, at lest I don't have to move into the sticks any more. I just hope Sprint puts there LTE up in the next year so that I can try it out. (I can wait a little longer due to AT&T now only costing me 39.99 a month for a one line plan with unlimited data for the next 12 months.)
  18. Really, are they thinking about putting LTE in wake forest or are you just saying sprint is never going to fix LTE here?
  19. Yep they need AWS, though I think they sold some of it to T-mobile. ( I could be mistaken about that) I really don't think Verizon cares that much about there network. They just wanted to pop a bunch of towers down quickly with them spaced as far from each other as they could so they could get that "largest and most reliable 4G LTE network" marketing. With out careing if it covers what there map shows or about thinking about loads of use. Even with there limited plan's they have still not been able to stop there network from clogging up. I also know on the Verizon site the LTE support page was filled with guys from NYC saying that LTE was sub 500kbs and that AT&T/T-mobile worked way better there. And so on. ( I don't know how Verizon is going to fix that just with AWS, this is were I think sprint with 2500 could win big.) I also went to ohio for 3 week's and had to deal with Verizon 3G 90% of the time in a pure 4G LTE zone or at lest that's what the map online said and the rep on the phone said at first, then after a support ticket said it was a "fringe" area even though it was NOT an extended area, it was a dark red should be good to go zone. It was really worse than that even due to loss of service, dropped call's and so on. ( Sorry for venting, but it really sucked. AT&T worked fine in this area by the way and LTE from them was rolling out ) Now if sprint would just get there LTE up and running in wake forest, all will be well.
  20. We in wake forest sure are getting shafted by sprint and t-mobile. But hopefully T-mobile will change there minds and sprint get the towers done that should have been done by now.
  21. If you can't stay on sprint or move to T-mobile, go to AT&T as much as most hate them for a capped data plan they are better overall with "4g" in more places. Also CS on Verizon is 100% trash. If you have more than the most smallest issue then your in for a living nightmare of 10-15 calls to 611, then the BBB then the FCC before they will replace a 7month old clearly broken phone. Also having both you are more likely to run into billing issues with Verizon. (Didn't think that was true till it happened to me. Thought it was BS, but it's not.) AT&T's LTE to 3G hand off is a lot better than Verizon due to both more or less being GSM based VS CDMA to LTE = more pain in the butt trust me on that one. But really Verizon is no longer the "gold standard" if they ever really were in the first place rushing to get buggy LTE, then they will NEVER send you a NEW phone for any thing ever no matter how many times you have had to trade it in. End of rant due to time warner cable failing me yet again and my Verizon 4G LTE going in and out again forcing me to post with AT&T as my backup of last hope for getting on the internet.
  22. 10mbs for 5x5 LTE is fine, better than 1mbs avg on Verizon LTE in a lot of areas in the RDU. If I go out into the sticks, I can pull 20-30mbs out of Verizon LTE, but really when you would use it in the city your speeds drop like a rock sub 5mbs very easily. That and they are not even done putting up LTE yet. If you think I am BSing any of you about sub 1mbs LTE on Verizon video because some one always wants proof:
