Sprint has to pay for the network investments some how.

Really bad situation... My mother got the case on the phone, the X, and it turned on automatically, but she can't get the phone to turn off. The executive response guy can't do anything to help us, because there isn't anything in stock now probably for several weeks. I can't understand why Apple would make a nearly $1200 phone that turns on by itself and won't turn off.
Try holding down the power button and volume up at the same time. If that doesn’t work try the power button and volume down.- 1

11.1 on iPhone 8+ seeing great battery life.- 1

I know this is much too late, but this probably happened because your X was on an older version of iOS than your backup. My X came with 11.0.2 installed but my backup was from 11.1. So I setup my X as new and updated it to 11.1 before restoring the backup from iTunes. Apple should have made this issue much clearer and had steps in place to guide the user through it.
I ran into that same issue going from my 7Plus to 8Plus and handled it the same way.- 2

I am confused by Son's latest comments. Now, after the failed merger, they say they'll invest serious money into Sprint network. Softbank has owned Sprint for 5 years.
What happened last 5 years? Spending just enough to get by? Are they saying NOW they are serious about rebuilding Sprint?
Maybe now he’s serious because he thought that he would buy Sprint and merge it with another telecom company. Now after several failed merger attempts. It’s either seriously invest or just sell the company. -
The merger talks are dead. I guess now Legere will go back to his childish ways to mock Sprint. I am pretty sure these two companies were having talks for a long time.

Maybe Sprint and SoftBank will go pedal to the metal. Get serious about competing and make some game changing moves. The Sprint network has improved dramatically since 2010.- 4

Is their anyone having issues with distortion and garbled calls when making or receiving calls with Sprint WiFi calling enabled?
It only happens when making calls over CDMA.
Happened on my iPhone 7Plus and 8Plus -
Does the 8 series perform better than the 7 RF wise?

Being the owner of a 8 Plus coming from a 7 Plus I’d have to say yes. To me the 8 latches onto LTE faster and stays connected longer.- 1

I didn’t know which thread to post this in so I chose this one.

Just got Sprint service back yesterday. Lots of towers down. Couldn't make a call or COWS or anything. My Tmobile line allowed me to check up on everyone. Lost power for 2 days but we have water. Now we have power but Cox Communications is down. Now I see the value in having more than one carrier though. Seen lots of devastation. My buddy lost house to a fire. Overall Sprint disappointed me but with the amount of damage it's understandable.
Sprint and T-Mobile are both having issues at my home and around town. It's definitely a tower by tower issue. My lights were out also 2 days also. AT&T performed really well. We survived off my AT&T iPhone and iPad. My AT&T fiber home internet is down though. My wife is pissed about her Sprint service because of the storm and wants to switch lol. I'm like it could have happened to any carrier.

Well the storm has passed. My power has been out for about 24hrs. Sprint data has a lot been out the same amount of time. I can make and receive calls but iMessages and texts are severely delayed. My family and I are safe. No damage to our homes except a few shingles blew off the roof.

I started to evacuate but I looked at the traffic on the roads. There's too much traffic. Plus by the time the storm reaches the Jax area it'll be a Cat 1 storm. I think I can survive. I also have an AT&T backup line and an AT&T iPad.

After riding around town. There's more band 41 site than I initially thought. Seems like Sprint came back around and added Band 41 to a lot of sites.

Speed test?

7.38down/1.56up I'm thinking it's low because it's a high traffic area.

New 8t8r sighting at the River City Marketplace near the airport. I don't know when the equipment was installed but it's online. It's one of the areas I frequent that had terrible speeds. Hopefully this band 41 addition helps.

True. I have both a T-Mobile and Sprint line and one thing I can tell you is that my Sprint line never goes No Service. It may drop to 3G that's either beyond slow or unusable but Sprint has the reliably part down. I really boggles my mind that T-Mobile cannot get that part right and they have a way dense network compared to Sprint. T-Mobile has to work on how reliable the network is.

I run into the same thing when comparing T-Mobile and Sprint. T-Mobile will show No Service while standing outside on a Sunny day.

I like the idea too, but I'd like for it to be a Dish/Sprint/T-Mobile combination.
You have a great imagination. One will merge with the other. All three will not combine.

That's exactly why they are using Mini-Macros to push B41 coverage. Much, much cheaper than a full 8T8R upgrade.
Sent from my LG G5
I often criticized Sprint for using mini macros and not going full steam with 8t8r. My perception has changed. I guess Sprint has to do what they can to get subscribers and upgrade the network at the same time.
-
A full 8T8R upgrade cost the same as deploying something like 3 or 4 macro NV sites from scratch. In others, far more expensive. It may be less work, but it is way more money.

Dang. That's expensive no wonder they are taking their time with the 8t8r builds and using mini macros.

What do you mean? Marion county is 345 thousand pop [emoji1]

I thought we were talking about Jacksonville

I'm coming to that area possibly within the next few months. How's the band 25 coverage down there?
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Coverage isn't too bad. 10x10 is pretty widespread. There's still spots where you'll drop to 3G but LTE will reconnect after a minute or two.

isnt this market one of sprints bigger ones?

Even though it’s an Apple case. You should still try using the phone with the case off. Apple isn’t perfect they could have made a mistake. I haven’t seen any reports of defective power buttons or displays not powering off.
