How is the normal speeds in Jax? Haven't been there in 8 months. Last time I was there I was not impressed.

It's starting to get better with the recent Band 41 adds and 10x10 upgrades.

Been saying that for the longest. If most towers had 15x15 in Jax market they could take their time with band 41 and give it to markets that can't get 15x15 b25.

Band 41 is plentiful around town except the Northside of Jacksonville. Everything else is covered pretty good with Clearwire and 8t8r gear. Don't get me wrong the Northside has Band 41 just not as widespread as other side of town.

Sprint is going crazy with the 10x10 clusters in North Florida! Good to see speeds actually improving. I wonder how long til 15x15?

I guess it's cheaper and faster than adding Band 41.

River city marketplace is now 10x10. Speeds aren't great but this is a high data traffic area and data is now usuable. Better than the sub 3G speeds I used to receive.

I tried using DIRECTV now for a year and toward the end it really started acting up. After I canceled I found out their app was having issues with the Fire tv stick.
I ended up signing with ATT for tv and fiber internet.

YouTube TV is now available in Orlando Melborne and Daytona and Miami stations. Lucky for me Ocala is apart of Orlando and Daytona stations

Are you using it already?

Let's see that speed test!

All my speedtest on 10x10 sites are relatively low. Maybe the sites are under heavy load when I'm testing.

Just saw a new UARFCN 8640 in downtown Gainesville near Main Street. 10x10? Does anyone know? It was always 8665 before.
Yep that's 10x10

I could be reading the chart wrong but it looks like Sprint is adding more subs from the other 3 than Sprint is porting out to the other 3.And apparently Sprint has more former T-Mobile customers than T-Mobile.

If Warren Buffet is involved, he's in for the long haul, not looking for a buyout. Probably will take the company private too. Judging by the success of the other companies he owns, there will definitely be investment into the Sprint product.

Why would Buffett and Malone invest their Billions in Sprint?
When Sprint's parent company has billions of their own. Masa is starting tech funds and all sorts of things around the world but wants independent billionaires to basically gamble with their money.

The Reuters [actually this article was the one:
article mentioned buffett and malone buying some of masa's stake in sprint for up to $20 billion

Maybe Masa should sell all of his stake to a buyer that's actually going to invest in the company. Not just sit on the company as he's doing with minimal investment hoping to buy out T-Mobile. So that he can create a wireless market with only 3 players to milk the American consumers out of billions of dollars.

Some speeds from a 3xCA enabled site.

Over the past week I've traveled from Jacksonville to Valdosta, GA. Also from Jacksonville to Daytona Beach. Seems like LTE has filled out along the interstates. Or it could be that I'm using an iPhone now and the reception is better. I didn't hit any 3G spots like I normally would on my old Nexus 6.

Home site got it's 10x10 today!!! It makes a world of difference.

I've been noticing a lot of 10x10 here in Jax. For some reason though. I don't think the backhaul has been increased.

Another 3xCA sighting.
Either this site has a lot of traffic at 4pm on a Friday or the backhaul hasn't been adjusted.

For customers to test drive their network for 1 yr for free. All while adding customers. Hoping that after the free trial those customers would stay. It's a bold move on Sprint's behalf. If I wasn't already a Sprint customer I would absolutely try the trial out.Sprint has just extended its "1 Year of Free Service" Promotion, which was set to expire today, through July 30th.

What do you all think this means?

If anyone has an iPhone with iOS 11 beta 2 and wants to experience calling plus, you now can. Place a wifi call and then disable wifi. VoLTE .
Sweet. Hopefully it launches fully with the final build.

I'm thinking that as well. Marcelo's whole demeanor in that CNBC interview (https://twitter.com/sprintnews/status/877980187048243204) seemed to be that he's not stepping aside.
Now that Marcelo is on the SoftBank board of directors. I don't think he will be the CEO either.

I don't think that Legere will be a part of NewCo. I think (and this is just my opinion) that this will be Legere's Golden Parachute.

Another upgrade near 295 and i10 interchange. I can't tell if it's an 8t8r or a mini macro though.

Just spotted a possible Band 41 8t8r install. On i95 near Baptist Hospital Downtown. If your traveling northbound just after passing Baptist and Nemours. It's on the roof of the Great Expressions Dental building. I think the building also has the letters GHG on the top. It's always been a Sprint Band 25/26 site. It now has 3 new panels.

I realize they don't have Digits. Yet, it doesn't make sense to pay for something you don't have access to. Most of the time I can't even get the flash intro on the T-Mobile Tuesdays website to work at all either, leaving me unable to get that. So, as everyone has their own reasons for switching carriers, these are mine.
Seems like you just need to purchase an Android or iOS device and you'll be fine.

Hey guys. I'm back on Sprint (well, I took advantage of the free year w/ a spare number.) It looks like Sprint still has some speed issues (from initial observation downtown.) And that B41 seems to be majorly Clearwire still. Will keep a look out. My max test downtown has been 7mbps.
Your observation is correct.

Exactly. It's tempting not to switch to VZW next month when I pay my phone off. Just trying to hold on because I've had sprint since I was 17 lol. VZW is only tempting because of unlimited and I would then be able to get full service when I'm back home visiting in Live Oak. She doesn't have internet because of where she lives so no wifi for me there.
With the price I'm paying. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.

That's great. The most I've gotten from a 10x10 is 30mbps. My son and I have been having speedtest battles. He's on T-Mobile I've been beating him 4 out of 5 times. T-Mobile has a lot of users here between T-Mobile and MetroPCS.
