Strange YouTube prefers 720p for me most of the time and there is a way past the video limit. It's called a VPN and yes there are free ones. The one from hubvnp is a good one. Shout out to pornhub emoji23.png. I used Nord VPN though.

I can go above 480p but if I leave YouTube on auto it will default to 480p even when I have a good connection and good speeds.

If the merger goes through we will barely get to enjoy the upgrades before getting transferred to tmobiles network via software update. Tmobile is fast here but they are starting to slow down a little. Meanwhile Sprint is going from 1-2mbps to 100-200 mbps all over the place.

Video capped at 12mpbs and YouTube seems to prefer 480p majority of the time. I think merger or no merger I’m gone. I’ve hang in there with Sprint for years. Don’t want to go thru growing pains of intergrating networks.

  3. Main issue has been radio. Compared to my iphone 7 Plus, it is like converting back to an iphone 5.

The front glass also seems very susceptible to scratching. Compared to my 7+ which is a year older, I have much more scratches on the X than the 7+.

The radio is definitely weaker than the 7+. My wife uses my old 7+ and she’s connected to LTE in more places. I’m very skeptical about the 2018 iPhones using intel chips.
  4. I also held off on the iPhone X and got the 8 instead.
Aside from concerns about Gen. 1 glitches, many apps weren’t updated for it yet. You couldn’t have multiple profiles for Face ID. It also lacked HPUE and support for Band 71.
I plan to get the new X this year with my annual upgrade.

I plan on doing the same thing. I’m up for upgrade 10/1/18

  5. I prefer to take calls over the cellular network because WiFi Calling has been inconsistent for me going nearly a year now. Often times I start my calls on WiFi calling and then switch it off to LTE which provides me with a much more reliable calling experience. Additionally, when VoLTE is turned on, it'll provide a solution for indoor coverage in areas where WiFi Calling simply isn't an option. For folks that live in areas that are only served DSL or satellite, the Magic Box will be extremely useful.

Speaking of WiFi calling being inconsistent. Do you ever have issues when receiving a call? Sometimes when receiving calls with WiFi calling enabled and WiFi is on but not connected to a network. The phone calls are choppy and I sound like a chipmunk to people on the other side of the call.
  6. Its decent but definitely not better than 1x800. You start hearing that robotic sound and then it goes to shit from there if your around 115 b26. I have even seen it happen with 105dbm of b25.

I'm on b25 most of the time and once 10mhz showed up on most towers converge of b25 vastly improved but lately b41 has been expanding quick. We now have ten b41 towers online. Seven from just the last 90 days and one of them came online today.

Not having VoLTE and falling back to 3G too often is making it hard for me to stay with Sprint.
