  1. Funny I just left the dollar store and Sprint was on 1x800 while At&t and Tmobile had no service and we have full 700mhz on most towers for Tmobile. Also the nearest tower is shared by all 3 with Tmobile on the top and Sprint on the bottom. It's very clear Sprint's reliability would be bad if 1x800 was not around.

Something is up with AT&T I often lose service outside on bright sunny days.

Well I'm at the Town Center having lunch with my wife. Normally I don't use my phone for data much out here because it's slow. Well today I decided to look something up on google and noticed that pages were loading fast and videos actually played. So out of curiosity I looked to see what band I was on. There it was Sprint FINALLY added Band 41 to a site or maybe even a small cell to this area. This really gives me hope for Sprints future.

  3. I like the idea too, even if Softbank were to just get Dish and not T-Mobile, especially as Sprint could use more midband spectrum. However, a Sprint/Dish/T-Mobile tie-up would be the ultimate deal, with absolutely plenty of spectrum for many years of really excellent service capability.

I'm sure a Sprint/Dish/T-Mobile tie up will require the newly formed company to divest a lot of spectrum.

  4. I hope John Legere isn't made CEO if Sprint and T-Mobile do merge. That would be awful.

I personally believe DT is going to keep possession of T-Mobile US as they mentioned a month or two ago. Prior to that, I was still hoping DT would be willing to sell T-Mobile US, at which point if Softbank made an offer for it, AT&T would make a counter offer. With AT&T losing Straight Path to Verizon, as reported today, T-Mobile would make a tempting bid for AT&T to go after. I doubt AT&T is going to want Sprint as I suspected Verizon might, had they not won the bid for Straight Path.

Now that Sprint is safe from any takeover bid, I kind of would like to see Sprint get T-Mobile. The problem with T-Mobile getting Dish, is that likely John Legere stays. If Sprint gets T-Mobile, hopefully that means Legere goes away, which is something I really want to have happen. Already, I hate that he gets to be rich by acting the way he does. People like Marcelo are much more admirable, as they literally built themselves up to where they are with their fortunes.

I don't want to see Sprint and T-Mobile merge at all. I rather see Sprint with a cable co and T-Mobile with dish or vice versa.

  5. I highly doubt T-Mobile and Sprint will merge. I see T-Mobile merging with Dish. But we will see what happens.

I doubt they will merge too. It's just every time there's a discussion about a Sprint - T-Mobile merger Everyone assumes John Legere will be the CEO of the newly formed company.
