I don't know if this has been asked here. Does enabling wifi calling on iOS disable Sprints HD Calling?
-
Is this a new location?
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I believe it was installed when Sprint came in and add 8t8r's a few months ago. I could see the site from the highway but this was my first time being near it. Just happened to field test to see if the site was active and discovered this.

Found 3xCA in the wild.

One thing I've noticed that when on a voice call with T-Mobile subs. The calls drops frequently to the point that it's hard to hold conversations. Does T-Mobile have a lot of dropped VoLTE calls?
-
Funny I just left the dollar store and Sprint was on 1x800 while At&t and Tmobile had no service and we have full 700mhz on most towers for Tmobile. Also the nearest tower is shared by all 3 with Tmobile on the top and Sprint on the bottom. It's very clear Sprint's reliability would be bad if 1x800 was not around.

Something is up with AT&T I often lose service outside on bright sunny days.

That on Tmobile??

Sprint. Obviously I was in a spot where Sprint or Verizon didn't have signal. ATT has no service also and T-Mobile was on band 12 with a -126 signal and was actually usable.

I haven't had "No Service" in years.

Are you crazy?! Do not encourage him to create a new thread.

We don't want to see it in this thread either.

The whole Sprint/T-Mobile merger is becoming a tired topic in this thread. I think it would be best best for you to create a separate thread to continue that discussion there.
I agree.

I get weak band 26 inside. My voice service is weak also. Calls doesn't drop but tend to break up from time to time.

Got a call from a Sprint rep an hour ago. She said I'm approved for a magic box and to allow 8-12 weeks.

Does it enhance voice capabilities?

. The state I live in it's mostly been 25 and 26 and there's a lot of GMO's that have not been upgraded here. How many GMO's are in Florida

I don't think we have any in Florida.

I can't wait to get down there and see what sprint can do
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm satisfied with my service to price ratio. The service fits my needs. So that's why I stay. I considered T-Mobile but didn't pull the trigger.

any densification efforts going on down there?

I haven't seen a new site in a few years. Band 41 is on most sites. If I had to guess about 90% of the Band 41 sites are old Clearwire gear. They don't reach as far as the 8t8r's.

I am heading to Jackson Florida in about three weeks how was the band 26 coverage down there
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Coverage and speed is pretty good. You'll lose LTE every now and then. Mostly in buildings.

Got this on a -127 signal.
In the same spot as the first screenshot.

Sprint came through the Jax market a few months ago and added 8t8r's to the high traffic areas.

That's true. It took them a while but I guess it's better late than never. The problem is you will see one upgrade and then it takes 8-15 to see the next. They just don't do upgrades as fast as the other carriers. This is still great to see though.

Well I'm at the Town Center having lunch with my wife. Normally I don't use my phone for data much out here because it's slow. Well today I decided to look something up on google and noticed that pages were loading fast and videos actually played. So out of curiosity I looked to see what band I was on. There it was Sprint FINALLY added Band 41 to a site or maybe even a small cell to this area. This really gives me hope for Sprints future.

He said exactly what I thought about John Legere possibly not being the CEO of the newly formed company.

I like the idea too, even if Softbank were to just get Dish and not T-Mobile, especially as Sprint could use more midband spectrum. However, a Sprint/Dish/T-Mobile tie-up would be the ultimate deal, with absolutely plenty of spectrum for many years of really excellent service capability.
I'm sure a Sprint/Dish/T-Mobile tie up will require the newly formed company to divest a lot of spectrum.
-
I hope John Legere isn't made CEO if Sprint and T-Mobile do merge. That would be awful.
I personally believe DT is going to keep possession of T-Mobile US as they mentioned a month or two ago. Prior to that, I was still hoping DT would be willing to sell T-Mobile US, at which point if Softbank made an offer for it, AT&T would make a counter offer. With AT&T losing Straight Path to Verizon, as reported today, T-Mobile would make a tempting bid for AT&T to go after. I doubt AT&T is going to want Sprint as I suspected Verizon might, had they not won the bid for Straight Path.
Now that Sprint is safe from any takeover bid, I kind of would like to see Sprint get T-Mobile. The problem with T-Mobile getting Dish, is that likely John Legere stays. If Sprint gets T-Mobile, hopefully that means Legere goes away, which is something I really want to have happen. Already, I hate that he gets to be rich by acting the way he does. People like Marcelo are much more admirable, as they literally built themselves up to where they are with their fortunes.
I don't want to see Sprint and T-Mobile merge at all. I rather see Sprint with a cable co and T-Mobile with dish or vice versa.

I highly doubt T-Mobile and Sprint will merge. I see T-Mobile merging with Dish. But we will see what happens.

I doubt they will merge too. It's just every time there's a discussion about a Sprint - T-Mobile merger Everyone assumes John Legere will be the CEO of the newly formed company.

I guess I will not use wifi calling. I'd rather have HD Voice.
