  1. I got my iPhone XS on October 5 and my battery health is already at 99% is this something I should be concerned about or no?

I always thought that the battery health was inaccurate. My wife has a 7+ (which was a former device of mine) and I had an 8+. Her battery health was at 94% for an older device with more use. She also let the battery drain to the point it would shut down. The 8+ battery health was at 88%. It was a newer less used device.

I personally try not to look at the battery health as much as I can.

  2. I think that T-Mobile is saying all the right things to get this merger to go through. Also to keep the employees of both companies at ease. As soon as this merger is complete I believe the T-Mobile will kill off the Sprint name and it’s prepaid brand and it should. T-Mobile is also turning into a carrier again with their 36mo financing. I get they are trying to keep monthly device cost down because of the increase full retail pricing by Apple and Samsung.

  3. I just purchased the IPhone X’s max today. So far this is a solid device. The screen is beautiful, it’s the same physical size as the 7/8 plus, and the LTE connectivity is the best I’ve had in a phone. While the LTE connectivity is great their is times where the connection would just drop out completely. This mostly happens when going from 3G to LTE in fringe areas. BTW, I haven’t updated the phone to 12.0.1 yet. So maybe when I update the signal drops will go away. So as of now I’m very satisfied with this device.

Yep. Typically if they're deploying 8t8r on Clear conversions it's a triband setup with 16 port antennas for 2x4 800, 4x4 1.9, and 2.5. They swapped to massive mimo entitlements and permits earlier this spring. Which entails new racks to be built for 6 antennas. Lot more money and work which are in short supply for Clear conversions.

So maybe that’s what was installed at that site.

That's a waste of money since clear equipment can so 3xca and even upload CA. They need to update tower that dont have 2.5 not replace towers that are capable already to do more.

They have completed almost all the band 41 add ons. Seem like they are just going around and adding 8t8r equipement and decommissioning the Clearwire gear

I think Sprint is turning up the heat in Gainesville to some extent. I’ve been picking up B41 in places that I’ve usually had slow data. Got B41 in front of Oaks mall the other day and now I’m picking it up just down the road from where I live. Unfortunately I get B25 or B26 once I get into my apartment complex. It’s for sure getting better here though.

The last few months Sprint has been rolling in Jacksonville too adding 8t8r’s to every site including the old Clearwire sites.

  7. I know this thread has been inactive for a while. I didn’t want to create another one for my tapatalk issue so I revived this one.

For a few months now I haven’t been able to like any post, quote any post or respond to anything. This is the message I’m getting. I’m using an iPhone 8+ on iOS 12.

How much 15mhz b25 is in Jacksonville now??

Majority of the sites are 15mhz every now and then I may hit a 10mhz site. There’s not many though.

Service connectivity was bad for a month or two. I don’t know if it’s my device or the network. My phone was dropping to 3g prematurely. It seems to be fixed now. I hope it was Sprint optimizing the network for voLTE.

I agree with you. Even though the current Administration is pro-business it doesn't mean the merger will get approved.

I think the Sprint/T-Mobile deal will get denied because the GOVT failed to block the ATT/Time Warner merger. I know 2 cell companies merging is different than what Att had going on but I think the Sprint merger will suffer because of it.

Seems like a waste of money since they started turning on 3xca on Clearwire towers. Just go straight to massive mimo

True. Also it seems as if Sprint is going into overdrive on their upgrades even tho they may be merging with T-Mobile. Seems like Sprint doesn’t have much confidence that the deal will get approved.
