  1. I think a lot of people that writes these articles are failing to realize that NV 1.0 is substantially complete. Which was the bulk of the work and spending. Now as sprint goes back and activate 800mhz services and 8t8r the cost to upgrade sites are a lot lower since cell sites has the new base station gear which is supposed to save Sprint money anyways being that the equipment is new and modernized. 2. When driving and looking at towers become more dangerous than texting and driving. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. I believe that VZW took over alltel here too. Also do you know if VZW LTE panels are multimodal? I'm in a xLTE market but none of the equipment has been changed out. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. I haven't spotted any more 8t8r installs. I have been seeing that Verizon as been adding new sites, redoing their racks to support more weight, and adding LTE panels to sites that was legacy only. My question to the folks that has Verizon knowledge. How come some sites have 2 legacy panels (1x and EVDO) and a LTE panel and some sites have 1 legacy panel (in which I assume its for 1x) and a LTE panel? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  5. One could only hope. Maybe the back haul is getting scaled up for extra capacity. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. Same here Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. When your 10yr old son starts checking out cell sites and trying to guess the carriers by looking at the panels. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. This isn't the tower near your house you used to always complain about is it? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Hopefully, Sprint will add a site on the tower on Knightboxx they have permits for it. If they go through with it Clay County will be completely filled in except for County Road 218 between Henley Road and the Ravines subdivision. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Spigen makes some nice cases. I personally like the Neo Hybrid Series. Protective and doesn't add much bulk at all. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. I agree with you. Even most ghetto people I know doesn't use Sprint or any of its prepaid brands. Just MetroPCS and T-Mobile. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. Sell it and buy another nexus 5 from the play store. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  13. I wonder if this site is a full build Ground Mount Radio site. With the amount of sites in the area it was probably put there for capacity. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  14. I drove past there again this afternoon. The crew is still there but they've installed a new base station with ground mount RRUs. I can't tell what type of equipment it is and the panels are hidden. EDIT: I guess it is a Sprint site. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. Why does AT$T more equipment on their sites than any other carrier? I know that more is not better but what's the reasoning behind it? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  16. Downtown is blanketed in b41. Blanding in OP is covered from the mall down to Kingsley. Roosevelt near i10 and near the Publix near San Juan. Jax beaches is covered pretty good.
  17. How's the coverage on the road? Last time I went to Valdosta I had LTE until I hit i75 then I roamed for about 10 miles. Then when I got to Valdosta I connected to LTE and got my first dose of 1x 800 before it was live in Jax.
  18. Right. There's some sites that I've been in close proximity to that does have band 41 broadcasting but there isn't many. I'm shocked myself that the Normandy site doesn't have b41 broadcasting in that busy area.
  19. Clear sites are broadcasting Wimax even the sites that's broadcasting band 41. Sometime next year Wimax will be deactivated.
  20. Correct until Sprint and Nokia activate band 41 LTE you won't be able to connect. When it turns on though you will be in band 41 bliss. Also the new Sprint band 41 equipment will send band 41 signal further with the MIMO tech they are using.
  21. Its OK I didn't get band 41 for a while on my N5 waiting on the firmware update for tri-band to work correctly. You can ask all the questions you want that's why we are here. If you are connecting to band 41 most likely its clear b41. I have yet to connect to sprint b41 and I drive past 3 known sprint installs daily.
  22. All the colocated sites I've seen with Sprint b41 is not broadcasting band 41 on clear gear.
  23. That's weird. I usually connect within a minute or two on my nexus 5. Sent from my iPad mini
  24. What I do is pay attention to known network vision sites. Most sites here in Jacksonville has the legacy panels removed and only has the 1 NV panel with RRUs. Whenever a second panel is added its the Sprint band 41. Shorter panel than the NV panel with 1 RRU behind it. Edit - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/106286908/IMG_4945.JPG
