  1. You can get a higher resolution display for sure but at this point 1080p is more than sufficient for a mobile device.  The nexus 10 has a much higher resolution which is appropriate being that it has a larger 10 inch screen.

I think even 720 is still more than enough.

  2. This is the 16 GB Wi-Fi only variant.  Plus, I doubt that there will be a Sprint LTE variant.

I am on my third tablet now, and none of them have had cellular connectivity.  I cannot justify that use case -- at least, not yet.

If I get this it would also be my third. Only tablet that I ever had internet on was my first, and I used it quite a bit, but it was very expensive and I couldn't afford it at the time. Just out of curiosity, did they allow you to check it and make sure there weren't any defects (seeing as how the first nexus has many issues)?

  3. Isis is actually a project created in a joint venture involving at&t Inc, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile. Sprint is not part of this partnership. It would be stupid for the other three to create a 1st-party payment system while supporting a 3rd-party payment option. Plus, through Isis, the carriers receive money in the transactions; Google Wallet does not share any of it's revenue to the carrier.

Of course with a little bit of custom ROM magic and downloading APKs, you can install Google Wallet on at&t, Verizon and T-Mobile cell phones.

If that's true, then that's probably the reason why they don't allow Google Wallet.

  4. I've noticed the same thing with my Transformer. It started after Asus upgraded it to ICS so I thought that might've been the reason, if the tablet wasn't optimized for ICS. But maybe it's the Tegra 2 processor if other Tegra-based devices have similar issues.

i honestly believe it's tegra. I've seen online complaints on the One X international that has the Tegra, and people complaining that it's slow and sluggish. I can't say for the US One X variant, but the EVO LTE on my line is working fine.

  5. Has anyone seen this issue as reported on the SprintZone app?  The time-stamps on the notifications due to a supposed charging issue/overheat, if accurate, I was not even charging the phone during some of those times... Could this be a fluke in the SprintZone app, or something else?

I wouldn't trust the sprint zone app. I've received notifications about errors with my phone when there's really nothing wrong with it.

  6. Imagine the look on the cashiers face for example at McDonalds when you just paid for your food with a CellPhone, Priceless.

My all time favorite reaction was when I took a trip to Naples, at a CVS, I had forgotten my wallet, but CVS is now using NFC, so I take my phone out and tap it against the terminal. This girl looked at me and completely flipped. She was saying how amazing that was and that she's never seen anything like that, on and on, all while pacing back and forth. Funniest moment ever, I will never forget it.

  7. I use it every time that it's available. The biggest reason I use it is because of the Virtual Card that is used. I've had my card information stolen, and this way it's just a little harder to have the information stolen. Plus it's simple and I love surprising people when I use it :D

  8. Do these activation issues also happen on a network with SIM cards? Every time I connect a new phone I always go through this excruciating experience of getting it activated (~1 hour on phone with them etc) and I wonder if in AT&T/T-Mobile it is as simple as putting in a SIM?

When I had T-Mobile it really is as simple as putting a SIM in. I had two phones on the account, and my father uses T-mobile we would swap phones every now and then. Just put it in and you're ready to go.

  9. Very pricey, but then again so are high-end phones.

They make a good point about the screen over kill lol. I think anything above 720p on a phone is too much. Pretty, but too much. I hope they reach their goal :P

  10. Well just got the update, right off the bat the signal is no different. Im also in an area with no LTE so yeah.

Is there a summery of the update anywhere?

If I'm not mistaken it should be HD Voice and making Sprint music available in ringtones and some bug fixes.

  11. People often forget to make sure their videos are stereo, I'm going to bet that's the issue, especially if it's YouTube.

So that would be an example of when I thought the speaker blew out. But it's still working as great as ever. You'd figure that it's 2013 and videos would always be in Stereo.

Off topic (but not really, just to the topic at hand), but I can't wait till we get 4.2, I'm looking forward to those quick settings :P Europe has been rolled out, we're next (hopefully)
