That map would change if they added in band 5 spectrum in the mix. If I'm not correct Verizon has some of the most spectrum that it holds in Dallas and through parts of east Texas, along I-20. Verizon Too. And Well it basically accounted for most of Tmobiles spectrum due to it mostly being AWS. And sprint because of spark

Well the n5 has had issues in Dallas. I could only connect to b41 in one section near mesquite. No where else, no matter how many airplane toggles. And that was on the latest baseband before L came out. So you may be right on that, plus b26 was widespread and that seemed to have higher priority.

I have seen this during evdo scans. It may be flipping between channels. Or it could just be SCP not reflecting the switching and is delayed. Next time it does so run a speed test, flip to the engineering screen and screenshot the evdo screen, and screen shot the speed test once it completes. Speeds/pings will reflect evdo or 1x. And the evdo screenshot will reflect proof if it just a scan. As well as the status bar will show if its 1x or evdo connection during the data stream.

Uninstall scp, reinstall, but before opening do the steps in the settings and see if that works. I have had no issues with it since. Go into settings, and into apps. Click on SCP and uncheck disable notifications. Problem fixed. I've tried other apps with stuff in the notification bar and they work. Do note the system shortcuts like debug screen may not work. Notification bar is causing issues .

My comment was in general not in relation to a single article, but merely to the comments posted on those articles. People want now but judge their now on their carriers past and present, but people don't seem to do the same for Sprint. Most Sprint comments are along the lines Sprint sucked a few years ago, they suck now with no premise of the actual now. That is what I was trying to say.

Honestly why do we care about what a company did in the past? Don't most consumers want the now? If we went on past then would Sprint have a great rep based on when EVDO and such came out? I thought they were the fastest for a while. Anyhow I just hate all of these articles saying Sprint sucked in the past, and assume they suck now based on past, but when you tell them x company sucked in the past they say no, x company is great now. But call you a liar for saying Sprint isn't what they used to be. Just my 2 cents.

The .08 baseband is pretty bad on T-Mobile. All around I still find .15 best for all carriers(ATT, Sprint, and Tmobile) I'm talking signal wise.

I am pretty sure it has to do with the notification bar that might be crashing it. I got signal check lite to open and run for little bit until i opened pro again, and pro tried to open on the status bar

Interesting find is that Signal check Lite still works, with no force closes. Edit: well it did for awhile now it is Force closing

I wonder if this is because of the Rural alliance, and the works. Possibly in some areas(mine in particular) only a small area on the border of Sprint Service goes out, the Roaming doesn't show any more. This makes me think of possible areas of Expansion.

So I just bought an M8 for $90 + $40 gift card for target, was $199, priced matched to $99, got 10% off(employee discount). Plus it was the Harman/Kardon edition, and looks/feels really nice. First impression is that In town LTE the M8 is better than the Nexus on the Latest Baseband. But Edge LTE signal seems to slightly favor the Nexus still. 1x800 is better on the M8, as well as EVDO from what I am able to tell.

not for sure but even an extra two weeks is something only sprint offers. Even Tmobile has 14 day return period before you are stuck with a full cost phone to leave.

Maybe they don't charge you for the prorated monthly charge?
