  1. No see that's the thing my coverage is almost exactly the same the only difference is I have more bars when in sprints area. Its almost like they can't use 800 to its full potential because of interfereance maybe with other sites? This happens every day I go from full bars to no bars in a half mile. Coverage cuts off about the same place it did before too.
  2. Okay I know that this will be great for in building coverage but one question, with 1900 spacing I was wondering how much the downtilt would have to be to not cause interference... I ask this question because on the way to work ( I work outside of sprints coverage) I get 800 signal all over my town now been weeks since I've even seen signal check say anything different. But back to my question, on my drive to work I will see my dBm drop from -62 to roaminging in literally 1/2 mile (headed straight south of the cell site nothin to disrupt signal), and this is an area where I'd even have 1900 coverage. I know these towers may still be testing but anyone seeing what I'm seeing? - would the downtilt of 800 on 1900 spacing, cause no real coverage increase just better inbuilding penetration?
  3. Question answered thank you.
  4. Question okay from what oi understand lte advanced is (put simiply) combining different spectrum to make a larger pipe. So my question range...? Say verizon combines its 700 holdings with its aws holdings will the "larger pipe" only go as far as the aws broadcasts or does it help the 700 in fringe areas? Just curious, if so would sprint be able lte-a some 2600 to their 800 spectrum to make a fatter pipe...? Just a question
  5. I thought I read somewhere that 1x -> evdo, evdo -> lte handoff was impossible, as long as yur actively using your connection?
  6. I know so far we only have the hotspots that support it, and no official word from sprint if there is even testing going on but has anyone run into any 800 lte yet? Anyone wanna take a vaca to the montana FIT? lol
  7. Well I have heard on this forum before that ur "bars" lie. But it seems to work aganist sprint... My sisters verizon fone will sometimes drop calls eith 3 bars and the qaulity is shit. On my sprint phone 1 bar crystal clear call no drop. Looked into this. She has a motorla razr hd on verizon, it will say you have 3 bars stays very steady doesn't change as much as my sprint bars which would move from zero to 2 bars, but on signal check we has the same signal strength and actually my calls are clearer. And verizon is a 1900mhz carrier in my area so that doesn't explain it. It just seems like sprint is trying to make themselves look bad. Edit: and ofcourse this is only tested off one site in southern wi, so this may not apply everywhere....
  8. Okay I feel like either sprint or samsung is weird with their "bars". Or is there something I'm missing.... signal check will say -80 which is a prettt good signal. My signal strength in signal check will not change but my bars will change from almost full to none back to full back to 1 but my actual signal strength never changes for the average user this would be quite confusing. And I've tested the bars issue when signal check said my signal strength was -80 I had 0 bars but still able to make receive calls and browse the web just fine. Kinda curious why sprint would make themselves look worse then they are. Lol probably more to it that I don't understand.
  9. I've noticed this too... but not only at night and not in a too rural area 20, 000 peeps in my town. I have very good signal at home -70 to -80 but randomly my phone will switch to roaming, but whats really confusing to me is that my boyfriends s2 with virgin mobile will keep service just fine but for the life of me I won't be able to get my sprint s3 to connect to the tower a block away. Irritating.
  10. 1x is technically a 3g tech... and does provide internet connection just a slow one. Lol
  11. Okay just kinda curious about this program my boyfriend has been a customer for virgin mobile for years. But its getting to the point where sprint native isn't available at his new job. It makes me worry on his 30min drive there and back with no service. He has the s2, but back to the meaning of this topic. Will virgin get access to 1x 800? Or will sprint as you go get more options on phones? He doesn't want to buy the same phone he has now just for roaming, because he says he can't use his phone at work anyways. I'm just worried about him getting into an accident one early morning or late night. just wondering if anyone knows when the s3 or equivalent smart phone will be out for pay as you go?
  12. And then prolly the slow wait for sprint to release it haha.
  13. Thought I might let some people know getting 800 all around rapids now... I really need to cash in my change to become a sponsor lol xD
  14. Just so you know the bars are only your 1x. To check evdo or lte u need signalcheck pro!
  15. Aj is gonna make a a comment I can see it now. Lol. Sprint has no 2g it is 1x which is actually "3g". If I am not mistaken.
  16. I know I woudnt be roaming on anyone's else's lte. Why would I ask about 4g having better signal then 1x. Duh. And I'm guessing maybe less downtilt til there are more towers live?
  17. Well I don't know if its because they are applying lte to all sites but in my experiance they almost always end up reflecting my 1x signal strength. I've also noticed this jumpin into roaming boosted my signal on sensory too so it confusing. Also if every tower is getting lte and 1x and evdo are suppose to travel farther. But I have been roamin with 4g many times.
  18. Just curious does sensory report ur lte signal strength or ur 1x? This has probably been covered somewhere but couldn't find anything.
  19. Hmm that's weird mine is set to prl 61010 which has no smr. :/
  20. Do you think in future prls they will allow virgin mobile phones to use smr? From wat I've seen its taken out of all the prepaid prls is this true? Didn't look into many but looked into the s2 running prl 61010 no smr... did they disable smr in vms verison? I wouldn't think so...
  21. The only problem I had with the victory. Which was a deal breaker was the samme internal memory. Cant install more then 3 apps it feels like
  22. Picked up 4g on hwy 120 in spring pairie, between lake geneva and east troy! Only blipped for a second got it on senory tho!
  23. I highly doubt milwaukee is on that list 2 protection sites for wimax. Doesn't seem like a market that is high on clearwires todo list sadly. Lol
  24. You know wats funny I have 3 sprint phones in the house all 3 came out of the box in cdma/lte mode...
