  1. Cool. Now I'm looking for ways to carry it since I don't like having it in my pocket. I got one of those magnetic pouches but the phone is a little too snug and the silicone probably doesn't help it slide in & out quickly. The Seidio Active holster actually fit perfectly with the Shine when I had it so it'll probably fit the same with this one. I returned the holster thinking the pouch would work but now I'm regretting it... durh!! I'm too picky with this stuff.
  2. Sure I'll take some shots. There are some pictures of the silver version over on XDA here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2273513. I have the black version.
  3. My Incipio DualPro CF case came in. No impact on signal like the Shine case has, which is interesting. I like it so far! I still don't know if I want to send back the Seidio Surface or just keep it; I really liked that case but wanted more protection.
  4. I'm using that one also on my One. Works fine. Used it on every phone before my Evo since that had the HTC app.
  5. The downloads app is there on my One. I had to make a shortcut to it using ES File Explorer just like I did with the Evo. Neither were in the app drawer by default.
  6. I got a Sprint Zone update over the weekend I think. What version number is the new update you see AJ?
  7. Ah that's true I forgot about that. Hmmm....
  8. I loved the Otterbox Commuter on my Evo LTE, but don't like it on the One. Can't quite put my finger on what exactly but it makes the phone feel much bigger. It didn't that effect on the Evo. I'm intrigued by the UAG case but I'm wondering about the flash issue. If I'm not satisfied with an incoming Incipio Dual Pro CF (or if it impacts signal like the Shine did) then the UAG would be the next case I try. In blue!
  9. Wow a lot of Evo to One converts suddenly, myself included! :-D Luis, do you have that flash issue with the UAG case? Where the flash washes out the photos, especially in low light? I've read about that in several places, but it might depend on the color of the case.
  10. Maybe the L500 is the new Samsung Windows phone that was just announced.
  11. Cool thanks, I appreciate it!
  12. That case does look cool, but I thought it would be a little too industrial looking for my tastes. I'd like to see it in person but I haven't seen it anywhere locally.
  13. Funny cuz the case doesn't really feel like it; it just feels like plastic. I have the carbon fiber one coming in soon; hopefully that doesn't have the same effect.
  14. I just noticed the strangest thing. With an Incipio Dual Pro Shine, there's a noticeable drop in signal. I thought I was crazy but I could tell quite a difference with the case on vs. off by looking at the dbs. The silicone had a minimal impact, probably within a margin of error, but the plastic shell that goes over it had the largest impact on signal with a drop of about 10+ dbs. In my case (no pun intended) it had an effect on acquiring a 4g signal as well.
  15. I was holding out for a tri-band phone but then I came across a great deal for the One where I made money switching. If it wasn't for that I'd still have my Evo.
  16. I started with an Otterbox Commuter since I loved the one on my Evo LTE. I liked it but for some reason not as much as I thought I would. Maybe I was still getting used to the phone. Then I got the Best Buy Platinum case (same as the Seidio Surface) and I like it more, but now I'm wanting something with a bit more protection. I'm considering now the Incipio Dual Pro CF, but my concern with that is the silicone stretching out too much over time. What stinks is like Luis said; it's hard to find any of this stuff in stores. Something that probably would have been a 10 minute decision if I could compare them to takes a while since you're ordering stuff online.
  17. ah cool. The last time I checked that thread was a while ago; I guess that issue has been resolved.
  18. We never even determined what the L500 was did we?
  19. Ah that would explain it since it's an HTC One. Do you know if they ever figured out how to unlock the SIM slot? I've heard everything from "wait 90 days" to "Sprint doesn't know how to unlock the phone" over on XDA.
  20. Speaking of PRLs, yesterday my phone was pushed 55015. I think it had 25015 before. I don't remember what the differences are.... gotta refer to that PRL article here.
  21. Yup I keep my boxes as well! Speaking of which, I might be using my Evo LTE box soon. I'm starting to lean more towards keeping the One
  22. One thing I wanted to run by you guys. I called Sprint for kicks and verified that my SIM ID was the same one as was in their system. He said that the main issue is when you're in an area with 4g, it will attempt to connect to it. When the 4g signal is too weak for it to acquire, that's when you see 3g disappear instead of it just switching to 4g. His theory was to put it on CDMA only Whatever... I'll see how it performs over the next couple weeks to see how bearable it is. One thing I've noticed is either Sprint has really stepped up their game in rolling out 4g out here or the phone is doing better at detecting and holding onto it. Definitely depends on the area tho; I still lose signal in parts of my house where my wife's S3 maintains signal. Also the time to grab a 4g signal seems to vary. Another thing to keep an eye on. If that's even used. It'd be nice if a radio update came out while I was trialing it. /ramble
  23. Yup, tried that already.
  24. So I picked up a One yesterday. It's cool so far.... different. I've noticed that 3G drops out a lot more than my Evo ever did. Not too happy about that. I may call Sprint to have them check to see if the UUIC / SIM ID is matching since I heard over on XDA that could be a potential issue when having data problems. Also the 4G performance so far seems more or less the same as my Evo (or maybe a bit worse... signal seems flaky) but again this is less than 24 hours in so we'll see how this fares. I've got 2 weeks!
  25. yea there's quite a few holes. They're filling in the gaps tho from the areas that I've been in. Just takes time I guess.
