  1. Yea I send out daily text messages to a group at my church actually, along with prayer requests. Definitely a must-have feature for any phone I get. I'm glad this phone handles it without issue
  2. After the update yesterday I had some trouble sending out blast text messages (>100); it would go incredibly slow. After a reboot it started working normally. Maybe try rebooting the phone to see if the data speeds go back to normal? I know for me my data speeds have been consistent both before and after the update.
  3. I noticed the same thing with my Evo LTE, and my friend with their Galaxy S3. Regarding the screens, I noticed more pop on the S3 vs. the Evo, mainly (I think) because I used an Epic for over a year and really liked that screen. I also had a background on my Evo that was pretty plain and mostly white. I changed the background to one with a lot of colors and wow my screen pops too! lol
  4. I'm still debating myself. I have until next Saturday until I can exchange my EVO for an S3. I like my Evo so I'm leaning more towards keeping it, since what I'm seeing with the S3 isn't worth the $40 difference I'd have to pay at Best Buy. I do still wonder about that extra gig of RAM and if I'll miss it within the next couple of years. And Deval, good seeing you on here :-)
  5. He posted about the Miami area earlier this week. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-274-miamiwest-palm-network-visionlte-deployment-schedule-update/
  6. They're advertising it as if it's for everybody. That stinks.
  7. I was curious (as a former Epic user), so I looked it up. Tx Frequency Range: 824.70 - 848.31 MHz (Cell. CDMA) / 1851.25 - 1908.75 MHz (PCS CDMA) Max. RF Output Power: 0.288 W ERP Cell. CDMA (24.6 dBm), 0.295 W EIRP PCS CDMA (24.7 dBm) I also looked up the info for my current Photon. Tx Frequency Range: 824.70 - 848.31 MHz (Cell. CDMA) / 1851.25 - 1908.75 MHz (PCS CDMA) Max. RF Output Power: 0.187 W ERP Cell. CDMA (22.71 dBm), 1.297 W EIRP PCS CDMA (31.13 dBm) I dunno what any of it means tho
  8. Well this thread has been a blessing! I'm glad to hear they're starting work on it. A friend of mine is a tower tech in this area and mentioned they were starting to work on things also. I get pretty decent speeds in the UM area but it would be nice for it to be consistent everywhere.
