  1. Has anyone tried any of the other settings in the 4636 menu? Did switching to LTE + CDMA improve the scan frequency when entering a 4g area?
  2. I pick up LTE also going northbound around Coral Way. Speeds were pretty slow tho... Around 2mbps on the speed test. I lost it once I hit 836.
  3. Yea it seems the S3 and the Evo have both been getting LTE tweaks with every release. The S3 has had several more releases than the Evo tho. I gotta say it does look like Samsung got their act together with this S3. Kudos to them! And now I'm hoping that updates are coming soon for our phone!!!
  4. I have noticed on my Evo the past few times I've had a dropped call I saw the GPS icon flash up top briefly.
  5. I was stuck in traffic going south on 826 this morning. I toggled a few times around NW 25th St approaching 836 but never got 4g.
  6. Sweet! Can't wait to get it on campus. I also can't wait for them to fix my phone so it connects more reliably.
  7. What do you guys make of this? http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g-lte/218202-4g-lte-connection-fix-sprint-phones-worked-me-least.html
  8. Hey Robert didn't you have a source that was telling you about the Evo radio issues when it was going thru testing? Is there any new info?
  9. Me too... it's been pretty slow here on campus. Over by Ponce Garage my phone starts roaming even; just started late last week.
  10. I bet you were just far away from the LTE site and that's why the speeds were so slow.
  11. Most of the tech blogs have a tip email or link on their page. You just need to link them to this thread or a particular post that explains the problem.
  12. I might have quoted the wrong tower. There's another tower on Miami Gardens and 47th that might be Sprint. I just got almost 30mbit down and 10mbit up! In Sensorly it only did about 9 mbit down, but in the Speed Test app I just got like 25 mbit down.
  13. I'll try to wait it out. I don't feel like fighting with Sprint. Maybe when the store gets 4g and I can show them the issue. That and I do like my Evo otherwise.
  14. I really hope they fix the LTE issue on the Evo soon. My wife's S3 had no trouble keeping LTE inside the house, but mine went back to 3g.
  15. lol... and apparently the 4G is still on. Score! I think I'll be chilling with the family myself
  16. That tower is about 2 miles south of the Dade / Broward county line on Red Rd (NW 57th Ave.).
  17. No I didn't see the post suggesting I do so until I left the area. I'll be there this evening and I'll do it then if 4g is running.
  18. I hope you guys can see these screenshots. Two from my Evo and two from my wife's S3. My phone definitely had a harder time getting on and staying on, although I noticed when my phone would switch back to 3G the signal wasn't usable (or ridiculously slow) from my wife's S3. The tower was about half a mile away from where we were (2 miles south of the Dade / Broward line on Red Rd. for those familiar with the area). My tower tech friend said they were doing tests and commissioning the new site, and they expect around 30 towers to be done by the end of the month (estimates he was told). They turn on 4g at night for testing. It was pretty cool... he was asking about the affects of it on our phones to see how it was working. The first speedtest I ran was only about 3 mbit but it dropped from 4g to 3g during the speedtest. We were inside so next time I'll try outside and with the Sensorly app.
