  1. Now does Clearwire get that 7 a month for every wimax phone in use? Just thinking, even though I'd rather not have the fee at all if I'm not in 4G coverage, I do understand its for every smartphone now... I'd just rather see it go to Sprint then Clear for those not in 4G coverage. Just seems like Sprint would put it to better use with NV being deployed. Kinda bogus if Clear gets it in these particular cases.. IMO.
  2. I'm Thinking (read: hoping) Phoenix will start this year, however if it is, pry not starting till late in the year. (fingers crossed!) We should find out here in the next week or so, I would imagine. Heres looking forward to more S4GRU.com updates!
  3. yea.. that's gotta be a tedious, time consuming project, Robert. Thanks for everything you're doing here.
  4. This is an oldie but a goodie
  5. I saw that on youtube last week... I definitely think its an improvement... Plus, they got a big-name individual involved for a change. I'll be even more excited when the commercials are pertaining to Network Vision and/or new LTE phones.
  6. I don't think the total number of subscribers has anything to do with it. However, the percentage of those users on smartphones likely does. There is a huge number of people upgrading/converting from basic "dumb-phones" to data-hungry smartphones... so, basically, too many EVO's and iPhones are on the network now. You're right, in 2010, data speeds were great, speeds often in excess of 2MB down on 3G (at least here in PHX and everywhere else my extensive, daily travels brought me), but have declined since. I believe that the Network Vision upgrades Sprint is currently implementing will improve all of this... which is one of the things it is designed to do.
  7. Couldn't agree more with you on that, man. Id be more than happy with just solid 1mb(ish) speeds. I'm really looking forward to the 4G LTE and all.. but I would be happy with consistent, solid 3G. Network Vision cannot come fast enough. If they stay on track.. I'll sign another contract no questions asked... if the plan takes some major stall... I'll probably reconsider. (I like Sprint, so my fingers are definitely crossed.)
  8. Is it 22 or 20 months now? For some reason, I thought it was only 20 months to upgrade. Edit: Looks like its 20 months to upgrade now. https://manage.sprintpcs.com/specialoffers/RebateWelcome.do
  9. GS III Benchmark? Hard to say. http://pocketnow.com...ocketnow.com%29 EDIT: If you read the user comments below the article, one user suggests it could be the Sprint Galaxy Nexus instead of the GSIII. Could that be a possibility?
  10. I'm on the same boat, with 3 lines. At Sprint I pay $180 for 3 lines, all of which are Android SmartPhones. That includes all taxes, fees, and even insurance on one of the lines. (I do get an employer discount, but most do these days.) Nobody can beat Sprints price, not to mention, I'd pry incur occasional data overages with any other carrier, making them cost even more.. I think the 2GB cap the other carriers are using is very weak. Sprints a home run as far as I'm concerned, and if Network Vision plays out the way its looking, its gonna be a grand slam.
  11. The EVO had a major, positive impact in my life as well.
  12. Glad to hear you were able to break the habit. Did you seek professional help, attend rehab, or were you able to break that horrible addiction through prayer and on your own account?
  13. I just read something I thought was pretty funny and thought it would fit in well here... A comment from a SprintFeed user: -Davidksims http://www.sprintfeed.com/2012/02/is-dumping-your-wimax-phone-for-lte-really-beneficial/
  14. All very impressive! However, I think the most interesting is that Overland Park is among the highest traffic cities. Keep up the fine work, Robert!
  15. Sprint is Giving away 30 Galaxy Nexi (sp?). Contest ends in April. Enter here: http://datastorm.spr...m/wdefault.aspx
