  1. Claure and Legere had some back and forth on twitter last night about the new "Unlimited+" plans.
  2. Seems pretty clear that it's only for those new plans, not just a general "free" phone offer. This really is just a play with numbers. Regular unlimited plan is $60, plus $20 phone lease. Or get an $80 unlimited plan with added perks of annual upgrade and free data roaming in 15 countries. If you are on the cheapest Framily plan ($25/line), with unlimited data, it's still slightly cheaper to just lease the Galaxy S6 than get the new plan at $80.
  3. Sprint definitely doesn't need any negative press about their CEO, even if it's not about Sprint. Marcelo has been very quiet on Twitter lately...I'm curious to see where Sprint will be at the end of this quarter. I know they are working as fast as they can, but they need to do it even faster. I still have 3G along I-95 through central Maryland. I won't consider Sprint done until I have LTE on all of the most heavily traveled interstate on the east coast.
  4. BWI in Maryland is a black hole. Last time I was there I was rocking Extended 1x. It used to be marked "Spark Turbo". Lol. As soon as you leave the airport, you can pull 40Mbps down...makes no sense.
  5. NYC is still a trouble spot though. http://www.rootmetrics.com/us/rsr/new-york-city-and-tri-state-area/2015/1H I thought the data speeds would have been better for NYC, I know they are moving as fast as they can...but it's not enough yet.
  6. Can't get it to load at work. Anything interesting? Just some new business plans as predicted?
  7. The big deal here is that it's paid within 15 days! That is super impressive. Usually it's the "within 2-3 billing cycles" or whatever. 15 days is really awesome.
  8. I tweeted Marcelo yesterday about wifi calling on iphone...canned sprintcare reply said early 2015. https://twitter.com/joshmsr/status/575023408846667776
  9. I was hoping Sprint would get wifi calling with 8.2 ????
  10. I was able to return a phone on easy pay after day 14 back in September. Took some work, but the Twitter folks got me in touch with someone that could help.
  11. Tweet @sprintcare, @marceloclaure, and @marcicarris and ask them.
  12. Sprint called out for "America's newest network" claim in ads... http://adage.com/article/cmo-strategy/national-advertising-division-asks-sprint-drop-ad-claims/297417/
  13. We should rename this thread to "Conspiracy discussion" ????
  14. In the spirit of total disclosure...I am usually a hardcore republican???? BUT...I am a big supporter of the new net neutrality rules for the moat part.
  15. Sorry...I did not mean to imply any wrongdoing. I applaud your efforts to be open and honest. Agree on all points! In other news....I wish I owned Sprint stock!
  16. To an average consumer that is just stupid. No value in one option, almost makes no sense to even list it. To a low data usage consumer, Verizon certainly is a better value because they have better coverage/faster speeds. Edit: I'm not trying to troll or say VZW is wicked awesome...just pointing out perception. Sprint needs to live up to its value proposition.
  17. I agree to a certain extent. But...the value in Sprint is diminished when Verizon has two lines for $100 with 6GB of data. Sprint's $10 cheaper, and double the data. If you already aren't using 6GB, Verizon is pretty compelling for their coverage.
  18. A new (or existing customer) that doesn't use much data wouldn't do well on the $90 plan. Paying for something they won't use. That was my point. No good options for low data usage customers. The 12GB is only a better deal if you need/want that much data. I'm just saying Sprint needs an option for customers that don't use much data. Framily works well for me, so I'll just stick with it for as long as I can. My wife is a stay-at-home mom, so she's on wifi most of the time, uses less than 500MB on average. I have an hour commute to work, and use 10-20GB of data a month. She is on the 1GB line, I have unlimited.
  19. Well it's $240 for 10 lines. But for the data portion...if someone doesn't use much data, there is no point in paying for that much data. Verizon is $100 for two lines and 6GB. Obviously, Verizon is awful if you use any more data than that. But Sprint doesn't have any decent lower tier plans yet. Marcelo even tweeted about it not that long ago, that they were looking at new lower tier plans. What if someone only needs one or two lines? As a new customer, $90 for 12GB of data, or $100 for two lines of unlimited. Seems kind of silly.
  20. BWI Airport still marked as Spark. Couple weeks ago outside, I was rocking Extended 1X....lol
  21. http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/TMobile-Sprint-Not-Adhering-To-New-Unlocking-Guidelines-132680 Sprint/Tmobile not adhering to new unlocking guidelines... Edit: I just looked at Sprint's unlocking page, it appears they now have military personnel policy included (and that it was just added today).
