  1. More press about Sprint ranking last in customer satisfaction: http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/Consumer-Reports-Ranks-Sprint-Worst-in-Customer-Satisfaction-131614 While Sprint has made significant gains in data services in the Baltimore area...I was shocked to find that I had better LTE service in Lancaster, PA than I do in Baltimore, MD. So based on my experience, I would have rated them poorly if I was surveyed. Things are definitely on the upward path though!
  2. Anything on the new promotion yet? Marcelo tweeted last night announcement at 8am (I assume central time, which was 20 minutes ago now)
  3. Marcelo and Marci Carris (Sprint SVP of Customer Relations) have been very active on Twitter the past several days helping customers. Great move by Sprint!
  4. Hey folks in the Cleveland thread...I live in Maryland but have good friends that live in Ashtabula County (Rome/Orwell area). Anyone have any clue as to what Sprint is like in and around this area? Looking at getting them on the last two slots on my Framily plan. They have Verizon right now...but have a Droid (original, 3G only) and a Droid Bionic on an OLD unlimited data plan. They can't upgrade the Droid because it doesn't have a LTE SIM card, and Verizon won't activate a new one for them unless they change their plan. Unlimited is important to them since they don't have Internet at home (not tethering, just phone usage).
  5. Have you all seen Marcelo's tweets? He's engaging customers to resolve issues. I think this is great!
  6. Hey folks...quick question here. What is the best place to buy good condition used phones? Specifically for VZW. Friends of mine live in Ohio (VZW is the only carrier with reliable coverage in their area), and they are using an original Moto Droid and a Droid Bionic. I'm looking to pick up some better phones for them, the Bionic battery dies in 10 mins flat, basically has to be plugged in all the time. I've checked eBay...but just wondering if any of you have any other places I should check. Looking at maybe a Droid Razr HD, Moto X, Galaxy S3...something along those lines. Thanks!
  7. I'm guessing we will never get a deal like Framily (7+) again. I do like that you can do the 12GB family share pack with the $15 per line charge now. That is making it more competitive with Framily in some situations depending on your usage habits and number of lines.
  8. This is HUGELY important for Sprint. People don't know anything about speed tests, but they do know a LTE indicator is better than 3G. I say that as I'm typing this post on I95 in Baltimore (a spark market) and I have 3G...and it's usable but very slow!
  9. There are still some pockets of horrible data (3G/crappy LTE) in very populated Baltimore suburbs. It is getting better, I wish they would pick it up. If it wasn't for band 26, some areas wouldn't even have ANY lte.
  10. http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-expands-innovative-leasing-program-to-samsung-galaxy-s-5-and-samsung-galaxy-s-5-sport.htm Galaxy S5 lease program is now a thing.
  11. The central Maryland/Baltimore market is covered in Yellow "Spark" coverage on the maps, but most I get is band 26 on most of the interstate, which is fine for even streaming videos (3-4Mbps), but definitely not Spark speeds. All of our band 41 sites are old CLEAR sites (Baltimore was the first CLEAR market with WiMax), so hopefully when the 8T8R antennas are installed, it will improve...plus adding many more band 41 sites. Right now they are pretty sparse around Baltimore. But solid yellow spark coverage on the maps.
  12. $20 1GB family share pack now a thing. http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-doubles-the-data-for-low-end-data-users.htm
  13. Did you all see Marcelo's tweet about a "Nexus4Life" announcement coming this week? He was replying to someone asking about it.
  14. Honestly...I am constantly seeing Band 26 LTE on my 6Plus. If it wasn't for Band 26, I probably wouldn't have LTE on most of my commute through Baltimore, lol. I get avg speeds of about 3Mbps on Band 26. The old CLEAR towers suck for Band 41 still :-\
  15. Wow! Thats pretty impressive. $120 over 24 months will get you a iPhone 6...I might jump on this for my wife.
  16. Agreed. With the way Legere was talking at their last "Uncarrier Event", I'm pretty sure they are having another impressive quarter. I am anxious to see the results of the big 4 carriers, and hoping that Sprint will continue on the upward trend as well. I don't see T-Mobile stock climbing to $37 after this quarter though.
  17. The Lightning-to-SD card reader is great if you are out and about using a real camera, I don't think it was intended to be a good way to transfer files on a regular basis outside of being able to download pictures from a real camera. I use it on my iPad with great success, but only on vacation.
