  1. Sure, if you roamed on those networks then indeed you won't anymore. But I doubt anyone was roaming on those. And that only applies if there was only one record of that SID in the PRL and now there are none for that SID.
  2. I'll send you guys the bill for the deliverable soon.... This doesn't include the 800 scan order changes as my app doesn't analyze that granular as it would be a report 5 miles long every time. This is only 25017 to 25018 but the other device series are based off the same core this one was based off. 3. Hmm... Can't wait to see this analysis. Always up to learn something new.
  4. No more 1x800 for you! No priority change, no 1x800 removal, just a change of PCS scan first, 1x800 scan second. They got tired of you guys with the mythical 1x800 doing PRL updates to idle on it.
  5. Busy reading all the posts in the New Orleans market.
  6. Label is probably printed and waiting to be packaged. If it shows received info then the PLD file has been uploaded to UPS but the feeder has not been inbouded yet on the local sort.
  7. Thanks. Another thing that would be nice is an icon to show the PCI in the status bar. It would only be two icons on most devices. I'm sure you'll have fun making 504 icons right?
  8. Is there a way to get rid of the extra data icon, usually dashes, when in 1x only mode? I use this mode a lot of my Nexus5. If I exit SCP and open it again it looks fine but kind of a pain.
  9. Unfortunately that isn't the case in many places. Some sites have had legacy wasting away $$$ for over a year.
  10. Only thing bad about the Sprint connect is it's the same service as your phone. It's the all the eggs in one basket thing. You have an outage you have no phone at all. A friend of mine was going to get one through AT&T but he has his cell phone through them as well. I ended up getting one through Verizon for him. There are tons of VOIP providers out there. Some as cheap as $40 a year with tons of minutes and no US long distance charges. I have been using Google Voice for free house phone for a couple years but it's going away in May from what I have read.
  11. Depends on the area. For instance in my city, no permits are required for network vision work at all. It's just replacing equipment. I have only seen permits when an entirely new site goes up.
  12. Still about 25 sites in my market rocking legacy. Last time we have seen a crew is October. Only one "In Progress" site but it has had the antennas up since February of last year. You would think they would have just used the T1s by now and did the 3g side. I don't see them doing these 25 for at least 6-9 months. According to our market sheet completion estimates based on the current completion rate, RRU installations will be done Jan 2015 and LTE will be on all sites by June 2015.
  13. No, there's a big thread on the Sprint forums about it. Its happening all over the place. I haven't seen it personally yet since I don't use my Sprint service much anymore since it never works.
  14. What's laughable is the various Sprintcare yo-yo's asking for their location and keep saying it's the towers being upgraded. Further adds to the frustration and creates negative customer experience.
  15. I appreciate the offer but I will have to decline as my mind is already made up on things.
  16. Maybe he has data blocked on his account for just that one tower?
  17. You need a good donor site to hand you off into a donut site. Then you have to hold a constant data connection otherwise it kicks you off. A ping session works great.
  18. Vince is correct, the PRL doesn't do anything with LTE except one minor thing. "Should I scan for it in this part of the US or not?" And that answer is yes in every area of the US. After that the device gets all its direction and rules from the network. Even on CSFB devices when connected to the LTE network all the PRL rules go out the window since the network dictates the 1x tunneling as well.
  19. Just have to work your way up the ranks as I've done just about everything under the sun it seems from grocery store management, instrumentation work offshore, running fiber, data/voice backhaul from ship to shore, programming, dba, etc. Sometimes get to do some cool stuff too: Might recognize a name in here... http://www.informationbuilders.com/pdf/new/magazine/v21-2/ibmagsummit2012_ldcfs.pdf http://screen.yahoo.com/fighting-welfare-fraud-louisiana-234200501.html http://www.ksla.com/story/15955474/la-tracks-food-stamp-fraud-closely
  20. Probably right on that one.. Sounds like my area as well. Outskirts of town is fine but anywhere actually in the city is useless. Found this same thing in a few other markets as well.
  21. Someone needs to tell Dan to leave the pom-poms at home then when going to Chicago. Thanks for the responses guys, haven't followed this market and was curious after hearing the glorious comments on the call today.
