Dude that’s really uncalled for. I’ve seen some improvements in the speed. But by looking at sprints coverage map I doubt the validity Of the actual data on sprints official coverage map. But there still no need to make comments like that. I don’t appreciate that. I’d love to see sprints coverage improve.

I’m not going to drag out something that was posted at 7am. I’ll post this and leave it at that. My post was in response to Kg4icg and him saying he wonder what people are smoking and that being on Sprint is in a way like being on boost. Also That there’s no need to go from one end to another and the difference is little to none. His comment was in response to yours about getting your S9 on boost with the assumption I guess you already had Sprint(saw after my comment was posted). His comment came off as if his city is not the best with Sprint and or Boast and that you’re wasting your money. That’s why I posted what I did.

Im really not down for a debate and how I’ve gotten a few responses about my comment being uncalled for mean. I personally don’t think so. I think referring to drug use is uncalled for but outside of that, I’ve seen way worse comments get posted on here that gets handled by the admins.

So much juicy info in the Public Interest Statement that T-Mobile and Sprint put together for the FCC. Page 23 and 24 have some maps that show the projected extent of 5G coverage on both networks in 2024 if they were to go at it alone. Beware, the document is over 600 pages long so if anyone has free time and wants to go through the whole thing, please do!

https://ecfsapi.fcc.gov/file/10618281006240/Public Interest Statement and Appendices A-J (Public Redacted) .pdf

I'll keep editing as I find more cool stuff.

Edits: I'm still reading but something to note is that on their own, it is expected that by 2021, Sprint will cover more POP's in high-speed 5G than T-Mobile. So while T-Mobile would have greater overall coverage by a long shot, Sprint would  be capable of providing 153 Million POPs with speeds greater than 150Mbps compared to only 10 Million from T-Mobile.

That doc is sooo juicy with all the tea.  That Sprint 5G map is a mess but its hitting cities that are well off for Sprint.

  3. I know it's nothing big, anything positive should be considered a small win.. according to this new speed testing firm .. Sprint has surpassed att in average download speeds.

You can definitely tell that Sprint is really injecting money into their network. Those results are showing that they are not too far behind in some aspects. The downloads are a mess though but at least they were all above 20mbps.

  4. The Kickstart page is live. Nice breakdown on what all you get compared to their UF plan. The only problem I have is the coverage map, It shows the "overall" coverage. I guess if the other carriers are doing it then why not. The map shows coverage everywhere but that might not be the case based on that map.

Nice price but looking at the press release its a very watered down unlimited plan:

    video -480p

    Music 500 kbps

    Online gaming 2mbps

data is slowed in areas of congestion. Theres no no 22GB trigger

    http://newsroom.sprint.com/triband-upgrades.htm

According to Sprint’s Head of Network Deployment & Operations: “We now have 2.5 GHz deployed on roughly 60% of our macro sites and expect to complete the substantial majority of our tri-band upgrades by the end of fiscal 2018.”

What a way to really kick things in gear with the network with a merger at the heel.

Sprint performing awesome on the new Always connected PC here all over NYC. Its unfortunate that this model is only running a snapdragon 835 CPU (which is kinda weak for non native apps) But, big big ups to Sprint performance and giving away free data with purchase of any Always connected PC for the remainder of 2018..

BTW, really nice video preview by Jaime and the pocket now team..

This is good publicity for Sprint and their network in NY.

I just find it kinda strange that when Sprint has any network based press releases that they don't really mention too much about the merger and how it will "help." Whereas T-Mobile just about every press release there is a spill about how great the merger is going to be and what it will accomplish. I would have assumed that Sprint would be hitting the pavement just as hard about the merger. It's like Sprint is keeping somewhat of a distance and speaks on the merger when asked and is not putting all there eggs in one basket again.

Verizon also does not care about the merger.

I think that's because when it comes to 5G everyone is on their own path and are trying to accomplish what they set out to do with 5G and are looking way past just mobile. It's going to be a money maker since it can be connected to so many more things than just tablets and phones. Sprint and Tmo are more concerned with mobile which is not a area of rush for the Top 2.

Well I know the government will definitely make them divest some of their Spectrum. But if they don't divest some the merger won't happen.

And that I think will be the major key here. That 2.5 is the bread and butter for their 5G and having to give some up would defeat the purpose of coming together. Another carrier will swoop in and buy up what Tmo/Sprint had to give up. If that happens...Then what?
