  1. The shift may just be temporary. Not that the work they are doing is just temporary. And info directly from Sprint is so notoriously inaccurate, that I wouldn't worry too much about it. Robert
  2. This is not an either, or, situation. It's my opinion that Sprint will not launch LTE in the Chicago market until at least part of the Loop is covered. Also, backhaul deployment is lagging. And it may even affect LTE deployment in the Loop. I think the earliest that Chicago would launch is Mid October. However, I'm thinking November. Robert
  3. That seems like a reasonable deduction to me. I do not know for certain. Robert
  4. Because there is no way in the world that Sprint is going to launch the Chicago market without LTE being at least partially deployed in the Loop. Chicago deployment is being done in clusters, starting outside and working inward. It is not a typical deployment. Robert
  5. The last PRL update I'm aware of only included 800 1x support in Chicago and Dallas. But we have yet to see any confirmation of live CDMA 800 in DFW, yet. Robert
  6. I always appreciate your accuracy. Perhaps Samsung doesn't support 10MHz channels in Sprint devices because they are copying the new iPhone in advance? Robert
  7. LTE is not coming online throughout Chicago in the next week or so. I have also updated the NV Running List thread to extend the anticipated Chicago launch date to October. I can't see Sprint launching LTE without any sites live in the Loop, yet. You will experience all kinds of issues with service while NV work is going on in your area. Soon, it will get better and better every week until you are left with vastly superior service than before upgrades. LTE will continue to come live and disappear all throughout the Greater Chicagoland area until the market is formally launched. Robert
  8. As entertaining as your post is, and I often deal with irrational people who say exactly that, I'm confused at the point of your post. Is it just to be an outlet for frustration at those folks? Robert
  9. So far, there is only CDMA 800 confirmed deployed by Sprint in the Chicago market. We list those sites in the NV Sites Complete thread. We have also had member reported sightings of 800 in Baltimore, DC and LA. But these have not been accepted complete from Sprint, yet. Robert
  10. There was a thread that beat both of you to it: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1906-sprint-now-show-coverage-in-baltimore-manhattanjunction-city-ks-sedalia-mo/ Robert

    Bent my EVO LTE

  13. That happens a lot in unlaunched markets. The OEM gets LTE online and tests it. Sprint shows up, signs off the site as complete and starts blocking LTE connections. Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner
  14. Except for COW's, I imagine all the upgrades will stay in place. They may even be Network Vision ready. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

    Bent my EVO LTE

Someone posted a pic of a bent EVO LTE (or should I say butt shaped?) back in June or so. I definitely wouldn't put an EVO LTE in a back pocket. It does seem to be weak at withstanding butt bend under weight pressure at the kickstand location. I'm always scolding my wife for putting hers in her back pocket. Its a bad habit for her.
