  3. We most likely will get CDMA 800 (1x) with our initial deployment. It's possible that we may be late enough in the NV deployment to get LTE 800 also. But that's a stretch. I get good Sprint coverage between ABQ/Santa Fe and Espanola/Los Alamos (where I spend 75% of my time), especially since moving to the GS3, which is a solid radio performer. However, 800 will really be appreciated at the times I spend on I-40, where site spacing exceeds 1900. I have not been south of Los Lunas on Sprint before. But I hear it can be patchy heading to Cruces. In fact, I'm just about to head out to ABQ for the day now. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  6. If you live in a Round One or Two LTE market, you would kick yourself repeatedly for three quarters of your contract. Doesn't sound like a good idea. If you live in a 2013 market, you are still rolling the dice. Sprint will not be 100% complete by the end of 2013, but they are planning to have a launchable amount of service in every market by that time. So even if you were in one of the last markets, you would still only be just over halfway through your contract when LTE launches in your market. And likely LTE would be sporadically available earlier than that. In my mind, I would not buy the 4S over the 5 in any way. Unless I was giving it to a child. I would even rather wait another few weeks or months to save up the money for the difference in cost if you had to. Anyone who buys the 4S now will get to the point at some time in their contract that they will regret it. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  7. I don't see any postpaid carrier dropping prices. They are so dependent on incoming cash flow. I just don't see that happening unless they were losing customers and already having their cash flow reduced. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  8. When you hit stop, Sensorly puts the data collected in your queue. Depending on your Sensorly upload settings is when it will upload. Because you can have it set up to upload only on WiFi or when using mobile networks. I've lost data in the past at times when at the moment Sensorly went to upload, my Sprint data was non existent and would lose the batch. So when I am doing a large amount of drive testing, I will send small batches every few minutes. That way if I lose data, I lose a small segment and not a whole afternoon of drive testing. 9. I think some other Galaxy Nexus owners have said that PRL changes don't affect their ability to connect to LTE. But it seems to affect other devices. Strange. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  10. Yeah, all 3 of those support Sprint CDMA 800. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  11. This thread is only related to people who can offload at home onto WiFi but refuse to. So if Sprint has to buy spectrum and add carriers due to the burdens caused by these people, it is going to cause more costs and our prices are going to rise to pay for all this additional work you claim Sprint needs to accommodate these wasters/abusers. I got a better idea. Instead of Sprint spending all kinds of money and resources upgrading carriers earlier and buying more spectrum, why don't you guys offload onto redundant WiFi in your homes? That way, when Sprint needs to upgrade for actual mobile usage, they may have the resources to do so without raising rates and/or scrapping unlimited. Now there's a novel idea. 14. Be that as it may, they soon will not be able to get new devices to sell their customers. iDEN is dying. They won't be able to stay with that for much longer. They really only have two choices...sell off SouthernLinc to Sprint or spend a few billion on a brand new network. I guess there is a third option, which is do nothing and sit back and watch it disintegrate into nothing. No one knows what they're going to do for certain. But they are starting to run out of time. 15. If you get a chance to drive around with the Sensorly app running to plot the area, we would be very grateful! Just click "Map Trip" in the lower right hand corner of the main app screen and then hit the start button. Make sure that points start counting up in the 4G section. Robert
