Holy moly. That's even out of the 303 Loop!!! I look forward to your update. Robert

I've not done an exhaustive review of other markets, but in my general observations I would say no. For instance, the Kansas market has less than five. And the Kansas market has double the sites of ABQ. The ABQ market has 58 ground mount sites. Almost 20% of all sites in the market. The sites with No 800 are all within the 75 mile international boundary and subject to our agreement with Mexico. I can tell you based on my observations of the Ground Mount sites here in the Los Alamos/Espanola/Santa Fe area, only the Santa Fe Opera, First Baptist Church and the Campground sites cannot support normal mounted RRU's. And the three sites that cannot, are within 30' of the ground and they can be mounted pretty darn close to the panels. In my opinion, they all could support LTE RRU's, if Sprint wanted them to. There have been several permits pulled in Peoria by Coal Creek Consulting for Sprint Network Vision upgrades. You should check them out. I'm surprised you didn't actually report them to us. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2877-new-building-permits-for-phoenix-upgrades/ Robert

Over in our Sponsors forum, we have a thread that shows all the Phoenix area permitting for Sprint. Work is starting soon: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2877-new-building-permits-for-phoenix-upgrades/ Robert

Sprint doesn't own any Nextel sites. They are all leased. Sprint decommissioning iDEN sites does not impact any other carriers co-located on the sites, including Sprint nor Clearwire. The site will still be there, just the Nextel equipment removed. And now the site owner can lease out that space to someone else. Robert

I am not a Moderator. I am the Owner, Site Administrator and the guy who you are thanking for the resource. My comments were not directed to all Philly folks, only the Philly folks who come to our pages and complain. You can either hang out here and discuss deployment, or not. But we will not be discussing me or how I run the site. And it's off topic. Please consult our posting guidelines: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1197-s4gru-posting-guidelines-aka-the-rulez/ Please read through the posting guidelines before any further posts, to make sure you stay within them. I'm really hoping that Softbank will push to include more Nextel sites in Non Sprint CDMA areas. Robert

I guess you don't realize this is my site. Based on my observations and the repeated bitching from people in Philly throughout my forums and on S4GRU news articles and our Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages, my post is well warranted. Do you often go into other people's homes and bitch and complain and start arguments? Well you are in mine now. Please stop. I won't argue with you. I don't have time. I just ban people who try to quarrel with me. I used to spend the time to try to counter points of off topic conversations, but I don't have that luxury anymore. Stick around and learn something, participate positively to the conversation, or go away. It's just that simple. Robert

Just now I heard that the site in Gonzales was signed off as complete yesterday. It is at I-10 and LA-30. Glad to see the purple near the Kenner site. My New Orleans source has been pretty solid so far. am changing the Gonzales site to In Progress now. It will go as 4G complete in the update tomorrow. Robert

Thanks for the update. Robert

In the ABQ market playbook, it was always labeled "Ground Mount RRU, No 800" for my site, long before S4GRU was a going concern. So I'm chucking it all up to coincidence. My site is pretty unimportant, all things considered. For me, it's just the convenience of LTE testing. It's not like I need LTE in my home. However, I am concerned about the significant amount of Ground Based RRU's in New Mexico. If all these sites do not get LTE, then that is problematic for Sprint. Especially since Verizon does have their LTE panels on all these sites where they are colocated. Including the one looming over my head. Robert

This link explains what Protection Sites are: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6-what-are-protection-sites/ WiMax Protection Sites are not shown on Sprint coverage maps. But they are shown on Clear's in light green: http://www.clear.com/coverage Also, we have a Sponsor map for WiMax Protection Site locations: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2136-wimax-protection-site-maps-substantial-service-sites/ Robert
