  2. I found out three more sites were accepted in the Oregon/SW Washington market on Thursday. Two on Portland's west side and on on the north side of Salem near Keizer. More details in the Sponsor section: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/652-network-vision-site-map-west-washington-oregonsw-washington-and-inland-northwest-markets/page__view__findpost__p__100105 Robert
  3. I've been waiting for that one to appear on Sensorly, or at least someone to report on it. You may be the first. Robert
  4. It was nice to get official confirmation of the things I have been saying all along! Robert
  5. Late 2014? That's not clear. That's your wild ass guess and gut feeling based on your observations. It is not abundantly clear, as you say. The final completion date of the entire upgrade is not important. Verizon and AT&T are not anywhere near complete with their upgrades yet, and they are not even doing a complete top to bottom overhaul of their network that Sprint is. So even if it is not until the end of 2014, it doesn't much matter. Sprint will still have completed their upgrade, start to finish in less time than the big two. And T-Mobile is not even upgrading all their sites to LTE, let alone a full nationwide upgrade. What matters is total coverage. And more importantly for you, coverage in San Diego County. Well, deployment is under way in SDC, as you are aware. And furthermore, the first three sites started to go live in San Diego yesterday and today. So, you will have measurable coverage in San Diego in the next few months, and pretty close to total coverage before the end of the year. So if they are still working on an obscure site outside Winston-Salem, North Carolina in Fall 2014, it wouldn't be very material to your circumstances. I find your lack of faith disturbing. Especially since there are tangible upgrades happening right around you that you have already experienced and written about in our forums. Robert
  6. I didn't read that at all. All their forward looking comments were optimistic, without giving specific info. Are you an eternal pessimist, even as LTE started going live today in San Diego? Robert
  7. Yes, Perris will get Sprint LTE. Preliminary work is under way there now. We show maps of all the Sprint sites in Perris, and nationwide in our Sponsor section. 8. These are WiMax Protection Sites. They have been around since 2011. They will not be getting LTE any time soon. You can read about Protection Sites here for more info: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6-what-are-protection-sites/ Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  9. Although we keep saying it, Sprint also addresses the issue of smaller cities and rural areas in this article we posted today: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-339-sprint-internal-correspondence-discusses-network-vision-progressissues-with-employees/ Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  10. Facebook is nice and quiet now. You can almost here the crickets chirping. Ahh... Although I kind of feel like I used the Death Star on our old Facebook page and I can hear the sound of 5,000 Facebook fans crying out all at once. There's a disturbance in the force. Who am I kidding? Ding-dong, the witch is dead!!! :jester: Robert
  11. Looks like the site just to north of the location at the Camino del Norte is live. Good find! Robert
  12. Thanks. The effort is appreciated. Robert
  13. 3MHz and 0Mhz, depending. Robert
  14. Signals come and go during testing. But also, be sure your device is in LTE mode. You may also need to cycle airplane mode to pick it up when in range. Robert
  15. I see the first Sensorly tracks along I-5 just south of UCSD. It's very faint. Yay, progress! Robert
  16. With the note of "Not all models carry all bands" it makes me pause. It will be interesting to see how that shakes out. Because even the GS3 can claim that it is the jack of all bands if you aggregate all models together that way. Robert
  17. All the WiMax mapping on Sensorly is in known WiMax Protection Site locations when I just checked now. It doesn't appear to be showing LTE marking mistakenly on the WiMax maps. Robert
  18. I'm glad I'm at home today and didn't play that one at work. But I do have chicken bone chandelier envy now. Robert
  19. I wonder if he'd like my vending machine bento box that I washed out and took home with me? That would be classy, huh? He can hang it in his Foyer and point to it when people walk in the door and tell them that Robert of S4GRU once ate out of it. You can still see the Udon noodles staining on the bottom! Robert
  20. Let's pool our assets. That should get us near $117.3M short. Robert
