  1. I'm happy when each of our members gets LTE. However, the day that you received LTE is one of the chief NV milestones for me. Next to perhaps my own. This makes San Diego one of the fastest markets that AlcaLu switched from 3G only to start firing up LTE. Hope they start making this a trend. Only Raleigh/Durham, Charlotte and Norfolk started LTE sooner into the NV process...as far as Alcatel Lucent is concerned. Robert
  2. And this is not just a Sprint issue. The Verizon site next door to my house went almost 10 months from panel/mw radome install until LTE went live on it. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  3. There's one NE of Hutchinson Kansas that is closing in on 9 months. But its being finished up now. It was waiting on backhaul. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  4. Not the first time I've heard Nextel and s*** used in the same sentence before. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  5. This is a big problem in Santa Fe. They even fight perfectly disguised stealth sites. Like in existing church steeples. And what really frustrates me is that the people who complain the most about cell sites are the first ones to complain about signals and data speeds. Brilliant! 6. Location, location, location. Oh yeah, and carrier width. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  7. Two speed upgrades doesn't mean live LTE, unfortunately. But it probably means that upgraded backhaul has been hooked up to two technologies. Or two T1 lines have been added. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  8. That's the nicest thing I've been called all week. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  9. That site was accepted on Monday. It's legit. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  10. I don't know about my backyard, but I personally like the tower in my front yard. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  11. I'm not aware of a Kansas LTE 800 FIT. In the docs I seen, it referenced "New Orleans and Montana LTE 800 FIT's". However, these docs were from Spring 2012. The FIT plans could have changed since then. I've not heard a peep about LTE 800 FIT's since that time. To clarify, AJ has only found what appears to be CDMA 800 in Kansas so far. 13. It's hard to say. There will be some places where the tower spacing will not be dense enough and you will probably always be on 3G in between those sites. At least until LTE 800 is deployed in the area. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  14. So far, in my area, I haven't had a single dropped call on Tmo that wasn't attributed to no coverage. But I don't get Sprint dropped calls either unless crossing a roaming seam. In my observations, Tmo has slightly reduced call quality than Sprint. Sounds quality is flat, but clear. It could be the Nexus 4, though. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  15. It appears that in Kansas, iDEN has been taken down from SMR. AJ can't find it in his spectrum sweeps. Just CDMA 800 has been located. It's possible that iDEN has been shunted to 900MHz to finish its final days to euthanasia. If so, that would leave LTE 800 free space for some testing and then deployment. 16. That's not what that means. They are incidentally included with SFO. Robert via Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  17. It possibly may be. Send me a PM and I will look into my data about the site. Because I will not likely come across this post again to remember to look it up. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  18. GMO sites in the Binghamton area are already under way. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  19. This area is already starting to be converted to 3G. Hazleton went live with 3G EVDO for the first time a few weeks ago. So they are working on it now. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  20. Also, it is highly unusual for Sprint CDMA equipment ever to be in a building. They are usually outside on a pad in 99% of sites. I assume you're using Sprint CDMA Direct Connect and not Nextel DC on iDEN. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  21. Also, it is possible that this site is one of the ones that is now overloaded because an adjacent NV site is down. Just a thought. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  22. I got report of three more additional San Diego sites last night. But I had a plumbing emergency and haven't had a chance to look up the locations yet. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  23. Yes. We have maps of all the completed NV sites in the Sponsor section. They are updated weekly. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  24. So far, just SF Bay. It will be all markets eventually. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
