  1. Yes. I had a CL fiber infrastructure deployment manager contact me recently and said that most of their wireless backhaul projects are underway now, except in places where they are lacking government approvals/easements. This info, coupled with CL crew sightings now in South Dakota, Illinois and Southern New Mexico, there does seem to be some systemwide CL field movement to corroborate this info. What this means specifically for Sprint in the ABQ Metro Area, I cannot say. But any movement by CL is a good sign. Robert
  2. I worked in Los Alamos for four years until last Fall. The Sprint 3G network works very well in Los Alamos. You'll get 1.5-2.5Mbps at most sites there on Sprint 3G. Very few Sprint customers in LA. The North Mesa Water Tower and the Knights of Columbus sites are especially fast. The Medical Center roof and White Rock sites are good too, but rarely get over 1.5Mbps. The KoC site will likely be the first one with LTE. Sprint 3G is hit or miss in Santa Fe and ABQ, though, as far as speeds. Those places really need Sprint LTE. And it likely will not be out for a few more months. Thankfully CenturyLink is finally moving on fiber connections in New Mexico. Were you will notice the difference on Sprint will be on voice through Otowi Canyon and San Illdefonso. Reliable voice/data service ends at the edge of the mesa, and does not really restablish until Pojoaque High School. Some devices are better than others through that dead zone, though. Robert
  3. Yes, I probably have erred in assuming the information in the article that was not directly quoted from Sprint is accurately being reported. I accept it's possible that Sprint reported it correctly and the article writer mischaracterized it. I know better than to assume journalists are good in this day and age. I have to give enough room in my response to allow for journalistic malpractice. Something I'm quite used to around here. My apologies. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. That's one of my biggest problems with the article. The buildout in the core of Denver began last year, not last week. Robert
  5. I use K-9 mail with my Note 8.0. Works great, especially mixing account types like POP and Exchange together. Robert
  6. If you love lots of misinformation. Remember, that's why he left. S4GRU tolerated his misinformation for awhile, but when he was challenged with facts he ran away. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  7. That article is full of inaccuracies, just from Sprint. When Sprint is the source of so much misinformation, it sure is painful. Why did they say Spark will not be available until 4th quarter when it is available now? Why did they say they just start work last month, when they have been working for the past year? They need to say, we have been upgrading towers for the last year. Most of them are complete or completing. They will be brought online in clusters to try to minimize impacts for our customers. Customers will start to see sporadic LTE signals over the next few months and we should have clusters online for more consistent and comprehensive service by June. We also already have Spark deployed on over 100 sites in the area. Currently Spark enabled hotspots can use these Spark sites. Spark capable smartphones will be able to start using them after the 3G upgrade cluster come online this summer. We are also bringing even more Spark sites online in the 4th Quarter. Saying what I posted above in italics is not only honest and accurate, but it would be better received than the BS in the article. What is Sprint thinking?? 8. LTE does not squawk its GPS coordinates, so no app is capable of showing an LTE site location. Only 1X squawks its location. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. The 800 is HD voice capable. But it does not mean you will definitely connect with HD voice on CDMA 800. All HD voice at this point is hit nor miss. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  10. This thread is so painful to read. Although I did hope it would do something form this insomnia. Nope! Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  13. If you are ever able to take video of it, I'd love to see it. Thanks. Robert
  14. I'm not convinced that there is any hand off to 1X 800 from 1X 1900 or vice versa occurring yet anywhere during an active phone call. Robert
  15. Schedules for these two bands are in the Premier Sponsor section. Our members are not at liberty to discuss the info in there. Robert
  16. And it only happens to some of you. We have found no pattern. Robert via Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. It sounds like it's true in your instance. But it is not true network wide. Only a handful of people have reported this, and it's been reported for a long time by only a handful of people. Maybe Sprint is trying to get rid of you? Robert
  18. Channel 40056 is 2536.6MHz. Robert
  19. Not at all. NV1.0 will likely be nearly done before a deal would be announced. NV2.0 would be over half done before any deal gets approved and closed. Robert
  20. Emmmmm...BeauJo's. I'm glad to live in the only community outside Colorado to have a BeauJo's. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
