  1. Because Rural Carriers are adding Sprint spectrum to their portfolios as a part of this agreement. So their current spectrum holdings don't matter much. Also, Sprint is adding 700 in their devices around the end of the year. Robert
  2. Looking forward to the photos. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Most of these new rural HSPA+ sites in New Mexico are not colocated with Sprint. However, your main point is valid. Tmo will certainly benefit from many of the rural fiber site connections Sprint has already established. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  5. The Top 25 is all we will keep shown on the list. If you get bumped off the Top 25, your name will come off. But you will keep the Honored Premier Sponsor title to your profile. Robert
  6. C.A.R has now made it on to the list. Thanks!
  7. Now, that makes him a sleazeball. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

  9. Your points about Tmo are accurate. I don't take any exception to them. But Tmo has turned around in very short order. Tmo is a great example of why Sprint isn't doomed. People nowadays are not very loyal to a brand. Otherwise, they never would have flocked to Tmo in the first place. If Sprint can differentiate itself and provide an attractive network at a better price, it has every chance. Tmo still has a very negative image to many people. But they are chipping away at that fast. The past Sprint couldn't do it. But tomorrow is a very different day. Robert
  10. Activity has been quiet in June in New Mexico, it just now is starting to pick up again with acceptances. Robert
  11. ohdevilguy just moved up another two spots! Watch out on the top now! Robert
  12. runagun just moved up a few spots. Thanks for your donation. If you want to move onto the list or move up the list, now is a good time. Our cash flow is as lean as it has ever been! If you really have some coin, try to knock AJ off the top! You can PM me and find out how far away you are to make it on the Honored list. Robert
  13. The additional rural New Mexico HSPA+ sites are on old backhaul though. They run between 100kbps to 1.4Mbps. Not brag worthy. More like Circa 2008 3G. Robert
  14. That seems to be the case with CDMA 800 in Samsung markets. But as for LTE 800, we haven't really seen that yet. It may happen after the mass B26 fire up is complete in the next few months. Robert
  15. EXTENDED A FEW EXTRA DAYS!!! For a limited time, we are offering a discount for members to upgrade to Premier Sponsor. From now through Monday, June 30th Friday, July 4th, you can upgrade to the Premier Sponsor level for $40 off. So if you are only $60 away from reaching the Premier level, it would only cost you $20 now. If you have never donated to S4GRU but want to go straight to the Premier level, you can do so for just $60. And remember, Premier Sponsorships never expire!!! If you are unsure how far you are away from the Premier level, send me a PM and I will respond with the amount you need to receive the upgrade. We hope to see you in the Premier Sponsor section soon! Robert *NOTE: Promotion ends at 11:59 PM Hawaii Standard Time on Friday, July 4, 2014.
  16. A GMO site cannot do Band 26. It doesn't have the antennas to do it. You probably encountered a full build site with ground mount radios. About 10% of all full build sites have ground mounted radios. Robert
  17. I'm having the same issue with my N5 on AT&T. Robert
  18. Since by some reports it seems that Sprint B26 LTE may be in some SoLinc spectrum, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this has not been worked out. Robert
  19. Your point is valid. He said Tmo does what it sets out to do, but Sprint doesn't. My argument back to him is that they do, but not as fast as he'd like. You have backed up my point that they are doing what they set out do, but not as fast as they originally planned. Thank you for the illustration. I too hope they don't try smoke and mirrors. They need to just stick to the facts, point out their roadmap to achieve and deliver. Sprint is delivering more and more every month. The ship is getting righted. All those saying that Masa and John Saw will fail to deliver because Hesse/Azzi messed up the first half of NV is not really looking at the situation in the right context. Masa is going to fire the failing executives as needed and keep marching forward. The 8T8R development has been solid. And this is the first sign of the new Masa/Saw leadership. Robert
  20. The network should move you over to B26 anyway if B25 is congested. Even if your device scans B25 first and starts you there. There will likely be a long period of network optimization settings that will constantly be in flux to find those sweet points. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Does Tmo's VoLTE hand off voice calls to WCDMA or EDGE? I hope so, or those early VoLTE markets would be a disaster as people get dropped at the edge of LTE signal. And being on Band 4, that would happen a lot. If Sprint can get their VoLTE to hand off to CDMA, then it's a no brainer that they should also adopt VoLTE. It will open up a big world of voice roaming, as VoLTE would allow them to roam on any provider, and not be limited to just CDMA providers. Sprint is likely working on VoLTE internally. But they sure aren't tipping their hand at this point. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  22. You can have an opinion. Sure. But if your opinion is that Sprint doesn't do what it sets out to do (in regards to Network Vision), then you're wrong. It neither stopped doing that or failed doing that. It's just slower than you'd like. You and everyone else can expect to be vigorously challenged when you say something untrue about Sprint at a Sprint themed site. It would be an opinion to say you like Tmo better. That's fine. But if you say Sprint is or is not doing something, that is beyond an opinion. You are trying to establish a fact. I also never insulted you. I said you should not give up your credibility by making untrue statements. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  23. This just is a ridiculous thing to say. Sprint is achieving what it set out to do. It's just taking it longer than they planned. NV2.0 is going faster than planned even. I get why you're not happy with Sprint, but you can't say Sprint doesn't do what they set out to do. Don't give up your credibility so easily with a false and extreme comment.
