iPhone was on freedompop, want to bring it back to sprint postpaid

Long story short, got a iPhone 5s on freedompop, its no longer active there. Need it to be activated on Sprint post-paid however the online activation tool and the store rep said the phone is for Sprint Prepaid.

 

Can I call customer care and request the phone to be moved off the Prepaid database into the postpaid database?

Sprint doesnt allow phones  to be swtiched between prepaid and, postpaid. I think its crap since, att,vzw and, tmobile all do. the small amount of phones they do its only with Boost. Thos phone have to be resku. only sprint makes you resku phones. vzw its just a simcard.

Funny, one time I put an iPhone 5 on Ting, and about a year later got it activated on Sprint without issue.

Freedompop's customer service isn't great and I haven't tried this with freedompop specficially, but I did it with Ting. I called Ting's customer support and they moved the imei from the prepaid database to the post paid one and I activated it on my postpaid count immediately after. If freedompop is giving you trouble you could try activating it on Ting, then immediately call them and have them return the eligibility for a postpaid account and hopefully you can activate it.
