BlueAngel
I've noticed a few of these popping up in my neighborhood in the last week, saw a crew adding new telephone polls with these on Monday by my work. You can clearly see wires going to it. Just curious, hope it's Sprint. BlueAngel
If you click the external link you can get a much better picture. Otherwise I can try to take a better picture on Monday when I go back to work.
mrknowitall526
I'm no expert but I've seen some like that before and the wires went to a nearby T mobile cabinet mounted on a pole.
BlueAngel
T-Mobile was the first company I thought of with this.

Crews are most likely upgrading the cabinets.

kckid
These are popping up on light poles all over the place in Overland Park, KS. I was wondering if anyone knew which company is installing them?

I was wondering if anyone knew which company is installing them? Does your signal level spike when you get close to it? Sprint said they'll install b25/b41 small cells eventually. EvanA
Verizon is doing a lot of small cell deployment, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's theirs.
payturr
I'd be so happy if it was a Sprint Spark small cell in the wild.
kckid
Here are a couple of better pictures. The box has an Ericsson Logo on the outside.
Conan Kudo
The only companies that have announced they will use Ericsson small cells are AT&T (Ericsson Radio Dot platform) and Verizon (standard micro RBS/RRUS). T-Mobile is macro-focused for now, but will announce small cell contract awards next year. Sprint, of course, uses Nokia in Ericsson territory. EvanA
Why did sprint replace Ericsson with nokia for 2.5?Ericson doesn't have 8T8R equipment if I recall correctly. That and NSN's equipment was already proven in their commercial deployment for China Mobile.
WiWavelength
Thread cleanup, please. S4GRU does not need general "What's This?" threads. Post in the relevant market threads. AJ
