dnwk
Today I saw on my SignalCheck app, it says my 1X RSSI is -69 while EVDO is -100. How is that possible to have such a huge RSSI difference? Is it possible to connect to different tower for 1X and EVDO?

dedub
doesnt that yes only apply to non-triband devices?
S4GRU
doesnt that yes only apply to non-triband devices? Watch signal check when you are on EVDO on a Triband. Shows 1X on a different channel, different connection. And they can be different sites/sectors. Robert
dedub
I thought there was supposed to be only 1 transmit/receive path on tri-band devices? ie why we can't have svlte? I must be confusing something.
afazel
I think triband devices switch back and forth for 1x and EVDO when they are not connected to LTE.

dnwk
Oh, I am using Moto G, so no LTE
WiWavelength
Guys, SVDO, SVLTE, e/CSFB, etc., are irrelevant. Think back to 2005. Original EV-DO handsets were single RF path, yet they could camp simultaneously on CDMA1X and EV-DO. That was the standard for years -- until SVDO became commonplace for a short period of time. dnwk
So that could well be that 1X on BC10 and EVDO still on PCS

dnwk
Yes Well, SignalCheck app supposedly should sound an alert for being on 800SMR as I turn it on. But it never did
