Disney testing way to keep your phone charged.

I found this interesting. Disney has been trying to keep people connected to all aspects of their trip using your cell phone to check wait times, show times, reservations, making and modifying fast passes, etc. the downside of this, obviously, is battery life. I wonder if something like this may show up in other places.

As a person who loves going to Disney for vacation, I don't find that worthwhile.  What I would hope they do is somehow incorporate charging stations at restaurant tables.  That way, my phone can be charging while I eat and it is always an arms-length away instead of hidden inside of a locker.

This is one reason I keep buying Samsung phones. I love being able to bring 2 or 3 extra batteries with me and if the one in my phone dies during the day I simply pop the back cover off, put a charged battery in and Im ready to go again.

kinda skeptical about this.  Would they be able to harvest any data off the phone?

Hmmmm. I think you can turn of data on the usb connection.

I always pack one of those bad boys on trips to stay juiced: http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=108&cp_id=10831&cs_id=1083110&p_id=10392&seq=1&format=2

It's saved my bacon more than a few times!
