Overnight site hiccups

This isn't an overnight thing, but did something change with hyperlinks? I used to be able to copy+paste them into the post but now I have to use the link button for it work properly.

As someone who works in a technical support position, allow me to say I love this phenomenon.  It happens so frequently and always provides a laugh watching/listening to the other person try and explain it.  Its like watching Mrs. Kravitz on Bewitched all over again.

Actually, I sit here at my keyboard and just twitch my nose to link and unlink Nickel's URLs.  I like to mess with his head.
