What does sprint do with the old equipment once its removed.

Ihope he does not chocke on all the Nextel equipment. Those are some hefty equipment!

From the pictures I saw some time back, I think on Wikipedia, it looked as if some of that equipment was ancient, the coloring made it look as if it had wood paneling...

AT&T still has EDGE only sites, though they're finally going away. I wish 2G GSM would get put out of its misery by this point. Even my town has Faux G now, we were one of the last places to get it.

The last EDGE only AT&T site I was aware of in Northern New Mexico received WCDMA finally over the summer. It only ran about 1-2Mbps, but it was welcome over EDGE. I haven't found any EDGE only sites so far in South Dakota.

 

There is still a lot of EDGE though in both New Mexico and South Dakota though. But they are on roaming partners. In NM, Commnet EDGE service showed as native on AT&T.
