TheBarron
Bear with me a few seconds, because of course I know triband LTE matters, but I wonder how much it matters for me here and now. Generally, in the rurals right now. Specifically, "here" being in SW Missouri, in the Neosho/Joplin area out in the rurals. Is all of the LTE deployed and working here right now 1900? Are we likely to have any of the other bands here in the next year or two? Are they lighting all 3 bands on all towers eventually, or is 800 and/or 2500 being reserved for metro deployments? Thoughts?
The Dave
The entire Sprint network is being upgraded to utilize the three bands with the exception of the IBEZ for the near term. If you want to know specific dates and towers that are live with the different bands and LTE, naturally you will have to become a sponsor. There are maps showing every tower and every market. There are countless many towers that already broadcast LTE on band 41, many coming live in the next couple of months and 800 mhz is already underway and will be network wide within the next year. Thoughts? I used to live in Springfield and had the worst reception. That was like 6 years ago when I left. However, I think SW Missouri will benefit the most from 800LTE. I have a feeling that Ericsson will turn that on very quickly into 2014. I assume speeds are still pretty good since LTE was turned on in Joplin. Coverage will be the biggest boost. Deval
And to answer your question, it is totally market dependent. I have two 1900mhz only LTE phones, and live in an area which will eventually see all three frequencies onair with LTE. That being said, I'm perfectly fine with none of my devices supporting those bands. By the time I am eligible for a rebate, the network will be fully baked, and I'll get to experience it completely.

But other than that 800 will help when your farther away. Every tower near my has lte but mine lol. I can walk to end of my drive way get it at -
centermedic
If you are in a market that has LTE AND WiMax then you are in a pretty good spot. Mostly because you have LTE on 1900 and you will have LTE on 2500 relatively soon. I'm not sure if there will be any rhyme or reason to the 800 rollout. I have seen some very rural areas get 800 voice while many urban areas have very little if any 800.
