I'd say no.  I want it, but will wait a little bit.  Plus only supported on the Note 3 right now.

Not at $300. If it went down to say $100 then I would consider it. This is a test watch anyway. The next one will be much better.

The battery life on that thing is only 25 hours. I don't want to have to charge my watch every day. It's annoying enough having to "charger hunt" for my smartphone.

 

Not to mention, it's only (at launch) going to be compatible with the wretchedly single-band LTE Note III.

If you're interested in the Galaxy Gear then get a Pebble or wait for the Qualcomm Toq.

I have the Sony SmartWatch 1, and it was half the price of the Gear when it came out.  But its pretty slick, has some cool apps.

 

I also have the Cookoo watch.. but connect it to my phone because they haven't released the android app yet.

I think I'll stick with my 6-year-old Timex Expedition from Kohl's for $39 :-)
