Don't recall seeing this topic so here goes.

 

Seems that Softbank has added another member to the Sprint Board of Directors.

 

Sara Martinez Tucker previously of AT&T, currently CEO of the National Math + Science Initiative

You mean like a county commissioner? Those guys have it made.

 

Nah, more like city council or the mayor.  They are also on boards for the city where they meet maybe once or twice a month and get paid ok depending on the city.

 

What is their annual compensation and time commitments?

 

County commissioners time varies by state, but it is definitely recommended to understand what you are in charge of.  I know here in Ca. the commissioner of the county is an ag commissioner and they are in charge of quite a bit.  Good pay and the time is however long you want.

My dream (semi)retirement life includes sitting on several company boards of directors so that I get good money for just a few meetings each year.

 

Being on the board of directors is not without peril...
