Brings back memories. That's where my eldest daughter went to Preschool. Awww...

I didn't know what LTE was back then. Heck, I didn't even have 3G back in those days. Progress!

Can't wait for Sacramento and Elk Grove sites to get accepted.

It is odd, however, that I used to get LTE in West Sac and the Pocket area but haven't been able to connect for over a month (on my iphone5). What happened to LTE in those areas?

They turned it off and I don't fault them for it as it provided terrible fringe coverage performance to the downtown & other areas and was overloaded to hell as no other tower within a 14 mile radius is live. I guess they rather have customers on the legacy than have a terrible experience on LTE.

On the plus side I now get B41 all to myself! Hah!

What do you mean by a new build site?

Is there any way to find out if there are any permit applications for new cell sites?

You have to peruse through zoning and other government documents if you don't know exactly where they're negotiating to deploy a new site.

The West Sac site has B41, or the south sac sites?

South Sac / Elk Grove and most of Clearwires Sacramento market wimax sites are slated to be converted to TDD-LTE functionality within the next two months. First batch are live or coming live soon with the second batch slated for april. Most, if not all, should be live with Band 41 by June. More information is available in the premier sponsor areas (there are tentative dates given for each cell site).

Sprint has also began applying for permits for the deployment of new Samsung 8T8R TDD-LTE Band 41 RRH & Antennas over their network which should be underway by may.

TDD-LTE 2500 (20mhz TDD), LTE 1900 (5x5mhz FDD), and LTE 800 (5x5mhz FDD) should be widespread almost immediately by the time Sprint / Samsung gets Sacramento NV 3G integrated (hoping late spring / early summer but am prepared to be disappointed again).

    • The "invalid file format" error is coming from the map server and the no data to send error is from the app, so those are two separate issues. Could you share the files it exported, and share your database from the S21? Putting them in a shared Google Drive folder and DMing me the link is probably easiest, or whatever you prefer.
    • This site is now live as eNB 380787 and gNB 1877974. It was not live in Sept when I drove by the site, so this is a recent activation. Also the confusing nearby eNB 84647 appears to have been upgraded but the upgraded portions weren't live yet.
    • My S24 Ultra and my two S22s are uploading and working properly today, as another data point.
    • My hope is they can spot something in the data that was exported. I am going after all 4 carriers on a multitude of phones and Android versions. My S24 did work.  I have not checked another S24 or S22.  S21s failed which are on Android 14 as well. It should be noted I did not reboot after updates and some of the data was captured on the prior update. Data from some new Boost Mobile Dish (Echostar) sites in the Wheeling area did make it in. Was hoping for more SA data from the duo. Many of the phones are just LTE.
    • I was traveling for a couple of days.   Sunday evening, I upload from 3 phones.  A S-22 and two Moto 5G phones.  Everything looked ok.    How do we explain that?   One person has issues and another person does not.  All my phones have the latest update.
