Problem with Google Search Widget

On my EVO 4G LTE, when I select the Google search bar, the text view goes black except for keypad, and I can't view whatever I enter on the keypad until enter key completes my search. Only then will text be displayed.

 

I've searched for this widget error, but seems Google's not keen on showing this blemish in its android search bar.

 

Any other EVO LTE users experiencing this black google search widget problem?

This hasn't really happened to me. My Google search works perfectly for me. Maybe I'm not quite understanding what you mean.

I haven't experienced that, but I did notice yesterday that the search widget disappeared from my home screen. I did a long press in the area where it had been in order to add it back and it magically reappeared. I think it may have actually been invisible for a couple of days.

I could not duplicate this issue. I even removed the widget and put a new one in place and it worked perfectly.

I have had this issue but my gmail and Internet does the same thing. I see a factory refresh in my future. My secure element is bad as well.
