Yeah, I've been getting T-Mo LTE at my work in Holland the past few days. Gotta admit, 25-30Mbps is nice.

Okay since this hasn't been talked about much beside you Codie, Central Avenue and McCord, all old 3G stuff removed. Now they're still isn't 4G but just to let you know they're taking it down as quick as they put the new stuff up

I need a more concrete answer than just by the end of the year.  It seems Lima, Ohio will not even see Sprint 4G this year if possible can anyone get some strong answers for the Lima, Ohio area.

I am also wondering why the Lima area seems to be ignored.  I am in Van Wert and it seems this area is the Big Hole they forgot about.

Well that's about all your going to get for now. They are working all over the market tho seems like there's nothing much going on at all. There's backhaul at a few other sites in Toledo but no LTE with a few with upgrades..idk what Sprint,Samsung or these contractors are thinking right now.. We all want LTE but sooner or later it'll happen. Also they have to do them in clusters even tho we are not a moto market we have them all around our market which will cause all hell to break loose with dropped calls and such. I don't mean to sound like I'm attacking it's frustrating for us all trust me.Also should donate a few bucks that way you can see more information of what's going in our market here's a few sites once you become a sponsor http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/517-nv-sites-complete/http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3365-toledo-area-building-permits/ Edited by keelerman8042

So this is what is going on at the tower outside of Continental. I'm guessing under the tarp is the panels and rrus. but in the boxes not sure. hopefully nothing that is damaged. Those boxes look beat up pretty bad. They were also out in the pouring rain. You can also see the new base cabinets there next to the old. very exciting!!

Nothing very important happened monday either. figures with my day off.. but on my way to work today around 2 this is what was going on. people out working on everything. So on my break I drove back to the tower to see what they had done. it looks ilke they have 3 new panels up, and the RRUS are setting on the ground down there still. but its nice to see work happening. might stop in on my way to work tomorrow and see whats going on! hopefully better pics

today it looks like they have the rrus up, and they pull out the trailer they had there. but the boxes are still there. I'm guessing they are waiting on backhaul still. I'm sure that will take awhile not sure who they are using for backhaul, just a guess its TDS they are slow at things, and having outages all the time. hopefully it will be fiber they are bringing to the tower they brought it to the GOGO tower down the road. fingers crossed. something happens soon. playing the waiting game is hard lol

    • In the conference call they had two question on additional spectrum. One was the 800 spectrum. They are not certain what will happen, thus have not really put it into their plans either way (sale or no sale). The do have a reserve level. It is seen as great for new technologies which I presume is IOT or 5g slices.  They did not bite on use of their c-band or DOD.  mmWave rapidly approaching deadlines not mentioned at all. FWA brushes on this as it deals with underutilized spectrum on a sector by sector basis.  They are willing to take more money to allow FWA to be mobile (think RV or camping). Unsure if this represents a higher priority, for example, RVs in Walmart parking lots where mobile needs all the capacity. In terms of FWA capacity, their offload strategy is fiber through joint ventures where T-Mobile does the marketing, sales, and customer support while the fiber company does the network planning and installation.  50%-50% financial split not being consolidated into their books. I think discussion of other spectrum would have diluted the fiber joint venture discussion. They do have a fund which one use is to purchase new spectrum. Sale of the 800Mhz would go into this. It should be noted that they continue to buy 2.5Ghz spectrum from schools etc to replace leases. They will have a conference this fall  to update their overall strategies. Other notes from the call are 75% of the phones on the network are 5g. About 85% of their sites have n41, n25, and n71. 93% of traffic is on midband.  SA is also adding to their performance advantage, which they figure is still ahead of other carriers by two years. It took two weeks to put the auction 108 spectrum to use at their existing sites. Mention was also made that their site spacing was designed for midrange thus no gaps in n41 coverage, while competitors was designed for lowband thus toggles back and forth for n77.
    • The manual network selection sounds like it isn't always scanning NR, hence Dish not showing up. Your easiest way to force Dish is going to be forcing the phone into NR-only mode (*#*#4636#*#* menu?), since rainbow sims don't support SA on T-Mobile.
    • "The company’s unique multi-layer approach to 5G, with dedicated standalone 5G deployed nationwide across 600MHz, 1.9GHz, and 2.5GHz delivers customers a consistently strong experience, with 85% of 5G traffic on sites with all three spectrum bands deployed." Meanwhile they are very close to a construction deadline in June for 850Mhz of mmWave in most of Ohio iirc. No reported sightings.
    • T-Mobile Delivers Industry-Leading Customer, Service Revenue and Profitability Growth in Q1 2024, and Raises 2024 Guidance https://www.t-mobile.com/news/business/t-mobile-q1-2024-earnings — — — — — I find it funny that when they talk about their spectrum layers they're saying n71, n25, and n41. They're completely avoiding talking about mmWave.
    • Was true in my market. Likely means a higher percentage of 5g phones in your market.
