  1. just went to sprint's site, called the closest "repair" store to me. They said "we don't repair screens anymore", you'll probably have to go to a local screen repair store.
  2. Anybody see these articles swirling yet? Not a lot of info, but looks to be intriguing for sure. I for one would like to see an improvement in the materials and asthetics of the Nexus X over how the Nexus 5 looked and felt. http://bgr.com/2014/08/26/nexus-x-android-5-0-l/
  3. I just called today and they said Sprint doesn't do the repairs anymore unless it is through the insurance company
  4. My N3 has started to have some really laggy GPS. When navigation is on, it regularly will lag behind and seemingly lose signal, although it doesn't show that it's dropping GPS. then all of a sudden it will catch up and call out the last 2 turns it missed. Also, it seems that the latest update to Sprint Connections Optimizer has started using a ton of battery life. Anyone else see these 2 problems lately?
  5. So my wife just called to inform me she dropped her S5. Says the screen shattered so bad that she can feel the cracks with her fingers. I've used a local place in the mall before, and I just called and they want $200 to replace the glass/lcd. What a pain... And my wife says on the phone, "what's wrong are you upset?"
  6. Can anyone recommend a car charger that actually charges the phones, not just holds the battery level? My Note 3 and my wife's S5 don't seem to actually charge on any mobile chargers. Seems like either they lose power or hold the same. There's so many out there and so many conflicting reviews.
  7. Ended up calling into technical support yesterday to report the outage. It is working today. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  8. New SD card was my issue. Only wish I wouldn't have done a factory reset before finding this out. Was it the KK update that caused the issue? Mine was working fine previously. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  9. tried to report the LTE outage at Six Forks/Strickland in N Raleigh on Friday. The rep on the chat line just kept pasting language about the 4g upgrades and was clearly unknowledgable on the issue and/or how to report it.
  10. Yeah, it's all over this whole range for that tower. No LTE.
  11. Yes, one other user mentioned it above, and my wife's EVO LTE wasn't recieving LTE here either. Do I have to call in and spend a bunch of time on the phone with sprint to "report" this? Also, fyi - made a donation today to s4gru
  12. Does anyone have any info on what's going on at Six Forks and Strickland? No LTE for 2 weeks now.
  13. Came on to see if anyone else had mentioned this. I work right near Six Forks and Strickland, and this has been a pain for sure. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  14. So that did the trick from the hat I can tell. After 2 hard resets I haven't had any issues after leaving the SD card out. Now for Google/Samsung to update and get my battery life back to top notch. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  15. I've been messing with that some... very odd. Half the time my phone won't even read its there, but then when I put into my PC it's just fine. I'll pull it in and out of my phone and it won't even notify me that anything is changing.
  16. Well, I thought I was in the clear. Finally got my data to transfer via USB, then did the factory reset. However, before I ever finished the setup process after resetting, apps started crashing in the background. I finished set up and started going through and it's the exact same as before, even without all of my apps loaded. My apps were freezing while updating, it wouldn't read my SD card and things like "settings" and "google play" were crashing. Beautiful.
  17. No, which I'm trying to do, however also trying to figure out how to retain my data before doing a reset.
  18. No way to tell, but nothing works. Been fighting it all day. Settings crashing, side button not responding, almost all apps crash, phone won't wake up, won't read SD card, you name it - it's going wrong. Haven't installed anything new, just started happening out of the blue late last night/early this morning.
  19. 5 hours on the battery and you're happy at 50% life??? That's awful compared to what mine used to do. I was also just annoyed with the battery life, now I'm about to throw my phone up against a brick wall. It's done nothing but crash today. It won't read my SD card and it won't install the software right to my computer for me to even transfer my files over before doing a hard reset. I'm stuck losing 5 months worth of photos and videos if I can't get it to work properly and at least transfer my data. Anyone got an idea on how to save my photos if it won't read my card to transfer there, and it won't let me transfer data via USB either???
  20. Going to have to do a hard reset I think. This thing went haywire this morning. Apps crashing, google play even, not reading my SD card suddenly, side button unresponsive, done 2 battery pulls, lagging way behind, shutting off by itself...
  21. ... Aaaaaand the lagging and freezing up started now too. Thanks Samsung and Google! Took a great phone and now it's struggling because of an update. Anyone know how to downgrade back to the previous Android version?
  22. For me screen was always the number one battery user, never had "Android system" as the top pull on the battery. Something ain't right with this update.
  23. Android System is the #1 offender, today it's even above the Screen/display.
  24. I tried to give it several days before complaining, but my battery life has definitely gone downhill. I used to finish the day at around 35-40% (moderate user). Now with nothing changing other than the update, I'm hitting that point before 5 pm and find myself using my charger. Pretty disappointing. The battery life used to be phenomenal for me, like almost 2 days worth if I stretched it.
  25. Lately I have had to cycle airplane mode to get my N3 to move from 3G to LTE. It seems to want to hang on to 3G way too long. Once I cycle it will immediately pick up the LTE won't issue. This wasn't a problem up until the last several weeks. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
