  1. Thanks, this is perfect. Also, a good app I found to sync social media contacts (FB, linkedin) to your contacts to list is MeSync. Worked perfectly. Sent from my Nexus 5
  2. Is there a way to have the notification light on when it is charging? Not a huge deal but used to seeing it come on when you plug it in to charge. I tried dogging through the menu and display options and couldn't find it. Sent from my Nexus 5
  3. Yeah I'm weighing the options out I guess. The biggest thing is how long it will take to get the 3G updates on and the triband devices working properly. You're right, it may be best for me to wait on the upgrade and then see what is available. Sent from my Nexus 5
  4. Do you have an educated guess on a time line for this work? Has the upgrades been done but it just hasn't been accepted and turned on, or are they going to have to go through to all the towers to complete more work? Sent from my Nexus 5
  5. So I need to dump the Nexus 5 due to the triband issues heavily being discussed in the other sections. Going to be taking it back this week for refund. I'm looking at the Note 3 as a possibility, not sure if my small hands can handle the size, lol. Regardless of that, are there any issues you would warn me on? Sent from my Nexus 5
  6. I'd be jumping ship too, but just added my mom and dad to my plan and don't want to deal with switching them around. Sent from my Nexus 5
  7. No, it's Sprint ordered N5's too. Mine is and is having all these issues Sent from my Nexus 5
  8. Raleigh, NC market. NEXUS 5. LTE if forced in engineering, but no mobile network if set as such, cant make or receive calls. Phone must be set to 3G. Sent from my Nexus 5
  9. Launching devices that won't work properly in many large markets was a mistake, but that's nothing new for Sprint at this point. Sent from my Nexus 5
  10. ... Just in time for me to likely return my triband N5, lol. It will be helpful to have a separate thread, and I'm glad you all pinpointed the issue at least. Hopefully at least you guys can do a blog post and bring some light on the subject for others, maybe even issue a notice to all Sprint front line employees, lol! Sent from my Nexus 5
  11. Sprint does it again. Unbelievable. So I guess in a market like Raleigh, you might as well forget a triband device for the time being, because it's worthless. Speed up the process? I'm not expecting that to mean much. Sent from my Nexus 5
  12. Nice. Why would Sprint launch a device that was going to cause people to not get any 4G at all? What the... So I would bet this kind of upgrade takes some time and isn't a quick fix? Maybe something Sprint drags their feet on for a lo g time? Sent from my Nexus 5
  13. I think I grasped that at a very low end level. Lol. Anyone care to break it down to non engineering terms for the lay people? L Sent from my Nexus 5
  14. Just spent almost an hour on chat with a rep trying to address the problem. He had me changing the preferred network in the engineering screens. I can get LTE if I set it on one of the settings with LTE and then put it in global or LTE only. However, then my mobile network won't work - can't make any calls out or in. I have to put the phone on 3G, so I can make and receive calls. Sent from my Nexus 5
  15. Classic Sprint. Sent from my Nexus 5
  16. So out of those of us having LTE connectivity issues, has anyone contacted Sprint? What are they saying? Sent from my Nexus 5
  17. Yep, didn't expect that. It was a great phone besides the awful reception issues. Now I've got another great phone that supposedly has a good good signal strength but I'm in a market that's causing an issue with triband. Sent from my Nexus 5
  18. Well, Sprint/Google have exactly 12 more days for me to see some type of fix or time-line for a fix with this LTE problem. I just took a step backwards from my Evo LTE, that at least got some LTE service. Now I have none. Sent from my Nexus 5
  19. Using a Ringke Ultra Slim case off of Amazon for $9 shipped. Fits perfectly. Sent from my Nexus 5
  20. So you have an avatar like that, tell everyone to Google image for pics of you and then you complain when guys start making comments? Okay... Yeah. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Just downloaded Textra and it had no problem auto splitting a 300 character text. It's definitely an issue with Hangouts. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 2
  22. I'm sitting in my house in Durham where my Evo LTE had plenty of LTE service and I can't get anything from my N5. It's currently on Global, when I switched it to LTE I wasn't getting anything either. Maybe I need to change get some other settings? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 2
  23. I would love all the great specs on the Note devices, however, I'm 5'5" and those things are just too big in my hands. Can't hold and just use my thumb, ha e to use 2 hands lol. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
  24. This is a reply I just got in reference to SMS not splitting with Hangouts on Sprint: Now does anyone have an explanation as to why this would happen?
  25. This is NOT what I wanted to see. I'm in the triangle as well.... I'll be giving Sprint exactly until my return period is up to fix the problem. What good is a better radio if my phone's software can't manage it properly and I can't get any LTE at all.
