  1. Personally I prefer the AMOLED screens, but the specs differences on the display are negligible. However, the hardware is better, the camera is 13 MP compared to 8 MP, and it will absolutely be a more premium device. Also, if the antenna is anything of what they've touted, it should be great.
  2. screen is better, camera is better, better hardware, possibly better antenna, more premium feel/look - I think there's a lot it's got going for over last year's N5.
  3. I'm sure s4gru will come up with an answer on this soon. It's possible Sprint is just a delayed launch and whomever is handling the Moto Twitter account is uninformed. Maybe Sprint is just planning for a massive push on the Moto Nexus X and they didn't want this taking a chunk out of those potential customers?
  4. Yeah, I'm a little concerned about the big drop-off going from my N3 to a batter this size. Although my N3 isn't what it used to be, battery wise, not sure if it's life has shortened or program updates have started using more power. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  5. This article says the battery is extremely underwhelming. http://www.phonearena.com/news/Our-Moto-X-2014-battery-life-test-is-done-and-the-results-aint-pretty_id60564/
  6. Yeah I'm going to wait for some real world reports, and usage from folks here, and also waiting to see what a possible Nexus X holds. Hopefully you're right. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  7. The 2300 mAh battery is concerning, as others mentioned. If the Android L isn't as efficient as touted, that's a problem for me. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  8. Totally agree. Or if they go 5.9" on the Nexus like some have speculated. I have a N3 now, but am ready to downsize back to a 5.2 or so. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  9. This phone is looking better and better. Sounds like it will be as close to Nexus as you can get. http://www.droid-life.com/2014/09/12/motorolas-unlocked-moto-x-will-be-called-the-pure-edition/ Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  10. If the Nexus turns out to be 5.9" like some are predicting, that would be a possiblity to replace a N3.
  11. Here is the supposed change list for 4.4.4 on the N3 http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/09/08/android-4-4-4-update-should-be-rolling-out-for-sprints-samsung-galaxy-note-3-now/ Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  12. Just got my update. Hard to know what was updated really. Nothing noticeable so far. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  13. Just checked it and it said no new updates available, maybe it rolls out over the next couple days? Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  14. I agree. Does the S5 have that size. I thought it was 2500 mAh? Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  15. If Android L is actually 35+ pct more efficient battery then I don't know that the battery will be an issue. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  16. this phone has me completely intrigued. The customization options, front speakers, 4 mic's, antenna improvements... wow. When is this launching?
  17. I have to say, unless something changes when I hold them, the edge screen designs do not look appealing to me at all.
  18. I don't mind the minimal design cases, but they also protect minimally, lol. The otterboxes and others like them aren't quite adding just millimeters.
  19. no thanks. Hate paying high dollar for a premium, sleek phone and then adding a huge, ugly bulky case to it.
  20. I'd prefer to see a better, more shatter proof screen than water resistance. My wife dropped her GS5 one time, and the screen shattered big time. Dropped prior phones multiple times without shattering.
  21. from the pic Samsung just tweeted out, it looks nearly identical to the Note 3.
  22. they look like neat phones, however I'm not so sure that the AQUOS phones specs match up to the S5's.
  23. I've got a "cell phone repair" type store that I used to replace a cracked screen on a GS2 a couple years back. I'll probably go there - they're the ones who quoted me $200.
  24. I'm not familiar with the author at all... I realize the details are all up in the air at this point... does he have a history of being completely inaccurate? Wonder if there's enough evidence to at least point to the device and launch timeframe?
  25. Well at least that confirms it isn't just me. GPS has been super wonky lately. What about the battery life issue? Seen that lately?
