  1. Here is the pre-order landing page. https://www8.hp.com/us/en/premium/convertible/spectre-folio-13.html Here is the fine print goodness. "1. Product exterior and outer keyboard is 100% genuine full grain leather as of 9/18/18. 2. Gigabit class 4G LTE module is optional and must be configured at the factory. The full utilization of this module’s functionality is dependent on network providers’ technical ability to support this network and speed. Backwards compatible to 3G networks. Module requires activation and separately purchased service contract. Check with service provider for coverage and availability in your area. Connection, upload and download speeds will vary due to network, location, environment, network conditions, and other factors. 4G LTE not available on all products, in all regions. HP Spectre Folio can connect to ATT, T-Mobile, and Sprint is coming soon. Verizon not available. Module designed for up to 1 Gbps download speeds as carriers deploy 5 carrier aggregation and 100Mhz channel bandwidth, requires activation and separately purchased service contract. Check with service provider for coverage and availability in your area. Connection speeds will vary due to location, environment, network conditions, and other factors. 4G LTE not available in all regions. 3. 4K panel not available at launch. 4K content required to view full 4K images. 4K optional on select models only. 4. Windows 10/ MM14 battery life will vary depending on various factors including product model, configuration, loaded applications, features, use, wireless functionality, and power management settings. The maximum capacity of the battery will naturally decrease with time and usage. See www.bapco.com for additional details. The battery capacity decreases to less than 100 percent when the computer operates under high temperatures for an extended period of time."
  2. We have 1 of 7 2.5 sites with any actual RET capability attached and one actual modern build. Has anyone seen or have an example of this technology in action, real world? Many here travel to stadiums and areas where modern equipment has shown up. A few have access to the network stats, just curious if this is actually in use beyond yeah tap this joystick this way and go home or if we have seen a hardware/software solution have an effect on the network. In action here we are limited. We have 1 8t8r site, the rest are mini macro sites with one half of sectors operable. They are 2x2 and did not attach the second operable ports on any 2.5 antenna additions, RET motors are absent.
  3. I appreciate the white paper, but I'm just asking if we know mechanical antenna elements are actually moving where the traffic is as we have been told.
  4. Do we have any data reported of beamforming actually active, and not the box itself optimizing to the directional gain of the tower?
  5. Yeah I am tossing that agreement in with the 180m loss we heard about today via Fierce Wireless. This is one terrible manager after another cashing out.
  6. If Sprint would make an appearance in our town for small cells, I doubt anyone would take it to a federal level. This just means they get a good rent until they sell out in a couple quarters on the few poles they have built in large metros. Source: Mobilitie entered into an agreement with one municipality in the CO and has seen no obstacles, yet has built nothing since Jan of 17 http://www.nmb.us/files/pdf/uploads/pressPublic/752-Nov 21 NMB City Council Mtg Agenda.pdf
  7. This is the same I have gotten for months. The only difference is today I executed an .exe then inserted the modem as I allowed the file to go from the prompt. Now Win 10 only sees this as a broken sensor, rooter sees this as a QDL_SUB without a sim or some feedback. I can't get it to operate under any circumstances.
  8. This is on Win 10 and it is at qdloader right? I ran that .exe and every other one today with it inserted. I get lots of .
  9. This was on 1.5 firmware. The unit just became inoperable on Sprint, I tried so many firmwares and fixes in rooter. I just ditched Sprint on that unit. ZOMG I have had one bricked for months. I do not have a Linux PeeCee to try the DanielWood fix, but if I could configure a Pi I have several. I tried it today in windows, activating the .EXE and removing the radio>m.2-mPCIe>USB adapter and now it won't even see the QDL or whatever. It just shows as a broken sensor. I can't receive mail because 20 extra feet of water so if you have a fix I am all for hearing it.
  10. I had several IoT units that simply would not function on band 41 in our area, or 2 and 3x CA would break the unit connection so that it would be in radio search or go to low power mode in MI, OH, and SC. I stuck what I could on band 25 and migrated the rest to other carriers. This was in areas with good, full builds. The network is in worse shape in many areas it was not less then a year ago; our area is notorious for investment neglect but this is wide and over a large timeframe.
  11. What firmware? I had a unit basically unusable to broken on 3xCA, switched it to T-mo. Since they don't do 2+4 I kind of lost 3x on that unit in a 2+4+12 only area but it runs great now.
  12. If you would like to ensure you have Calling PLUS available on your phone, you can wait to take the device update until we commercially launch VoLTE in 2019. Sprint will be deploying network upgrades in different cities and regions over the next several months.
  13. I reposted my solution in the T mobile reddit to see if anyone could use this as a backstop in this emergency and was naturally downvoted into oblivion, I am working on a parts list for anyone that posted there, just been a bit busy.
  14. Took the canoe out to rebeer the neighborhood boomers. We are an island now. Utilities are still swanky and I setup a couple yagi's blasting 2.4 out of my attic in case wired goes down, I will post those in my mods section when I make em pretty next week; today they just work. The national guard is still present along 501 and are making runs a couple times a day in here if folks want to go as the water rises or need medicine, at night they will come for medical issues if summoned. We will have a massive grill party tomorrow naturally. I took my spectrum analyzer along and seems like no new channels. Everything is still working underground and we can't argue w that. Take care and stay free out there everyone.
  15. City of Conway just closed the street, we in for the long haul. Water has now surpassed Mathew's flood levels in every river or tributary. I am pulling 15x5 on AT&T on band 2 @15MHZ on my wg3526 pretty steady, going to add an antenna to try and pickup band 30 in a bit. Tmobile is steady at 25x15 on bands 4/5 for 20MHz each way. We have one Sprint phone line left that has been able to make calls on 1x800 from the site in town, 1x1900 from the closer GMO is functional sometimes. Band 25 is therish when you look for it. Lots of battery backups and not surprisingly, requests for parts lists for my ridiculously redundant system. Since we are locked in we are out of volunteering efforts, this should give me some time to catch up and pull my SCP logs later and see if anything fun came up. Have a great or better week everyone, stay free out there
  16. Baby you gotta call Sprint. This was the kindest message ever so I think if you keep that up when you call, you will get one for sure.
  17. Happy Wednesday everyone! Stay dry. The operation to secure Highway 501 will push water into other areas of Conway. If you saw flooding during Mathew here we go again x2. All roads are closed into the beach except areas of Hwy 22 on the North end. Hwy 701 collapsed south of us and many other roads have a guard unit blocking them. Sand can be secured in town at Sherwood Park until that floods, so you don't have to start off your hunt w 5 stars GTA V style. The networks have been pretty solid for ATT and T-mo, Sprint has a couple sites out that share a tower so who knows if they prepped em. The hurricane was quick, waiting for the water to show up is the most difficult for us. If you are local and need help let us know. Have a great or better week everyone.
  18. Today was lighter in rain and wind. Florence has moved on, but we now have several tornado watches. Networks have held up great so far. Since one just touched down in town(Conway) we will be in shelter soon. Others have been spotted or confirmed in Carolina Forest, a few in Conway and on in Myrtle. The SC National Guard is sandbagging along several highways to mitigate flooding as we speak. Stay safe and free folks, it is gonna be a wet week.
  19. The eye has mostly passed inland a bit now. It is going a whole 2-3 mph. The rain is a bit lighter in our area. Gonna go hit the streets in a few and check out the scene. Some stores are reopening, the evacuation is still in effect so those in areas A, B and C will not be allowed to return to the coast yet. Flooding will begin mostly tomorrow as the rain collects, rivers and tributaries are no where near peak until tomorrow. We lost power for an hour early in the storm, but it came online in an hour. Many north of us are without power. I will run SCPro and see what I can pick up as far as emergency sites or anything else, but that will be it for tracking. Focused on getting supplies to who needs em. The rain and wind will pick up again this afternoon.
  20. PEA 154 checking in, so far so good on T-Mobile. I have a priority/preemption line w ATT for failover if it gets ugly, the signal is not as strong so it is number 2 in the network. The wind and rain have picked up a bit. Our cam got knocked a little sideways, sorry bout dat. https://imgur.com/RIS0uRZ No problems staying connected so far on Sprint or T-mo handsets. We have battery backup and a generator or two. I talked to a couple contractor friends who are in cell site disaster/maintenance and all the site generators have been topped off locally and they are just waiting for a site that goes down to get to work. Stay free and safe everyone. ?? ?????? ?? ?????? ?? ??????
  21. All 4 carriers have raised prices this year or added a new premium tier.
  22. PEA 154 checking in, this is going to be dope.
  23. They are turning up the bandwidth here. L850 on every site, they added band 2 6 months ago at 5MHz. Just for kicks Saturday I checked the site in town. It is at 10MHz and HSPA was no show until I approached the next macro.
