  1. It sounds like you're having state liquor license problems in your area .
  2. I don't give this site much credibility. Most of the people giving reviews don't know anything about how cell phones/wireless networks work. Their tower locations are also very inaccurate, not even showing half the actual towers. I'm 99% sure it just pulls them from the FCC database. Bottom line: don't go by what people say, judge a carrier by your own experience and get what works. It seems like sprint has about 60% of the towes at&t does in my area, but still works fairly well (still some holes I'll admit, but I think NV will fix that greatly). I've had access to at&t's internal mapping software, so I've seen their towers.
  3. At&t throttles DSL at 150gb and uverse at 250gb, though I'm not sure it's actually implemented, they haven't even figured out a way to meter it last I checked.
  4. Here's what I would like to know: In rural areas where high band spectrum is used I.e 1900mhz, what percentage of area covered can be increased by increasing the power level or the RRU's? I know it won't be anywhere near what SMR will travel, but how much can it be increased with NV and power increase?
  5. Here's a pic of [site redacted]. No NV yet, but I thought I'd share the picture anyway. Not sure which panels are sprint. I know the bottom panel is at&t LTE. I've never seen any panels like the dark grey ones at the top before. Not sure about any of the other panels, except that sprint, t-mobile, and verizon are also on this "tower". Is that not the prettiest tower you've ever seen
  6. T-Mobile has had fiber to almost 100% of their HSPA+ footprint for a while now. Sprint basically has to put fiber or other backhaul at every site that they upgrade to NV.
  7. I saw a tower right off of rt8 and Howe ave. that had a whole array on antennas removed. Not at&t or verizon on that tower. Maybe it was Nextel equipment? Ill see if I can snap a picture.
  8. Ya that would be very helpful. I just need an idea where to start to get in contact with people. It's been a few years since I've worked in the industry, so I don't haves many contacts, especially on the network side. Edit: I would really love to use this as an excuse to visit a cell site to talk to some engineers
  9. I'm writing a research paper for school on the effects or lack or effects of mobile phone radiation on humans. I would like to interview professionals in the industry to get some additional insight. Anyone know the best way of getting in contact with someone who may be interested in speaking? Thanks in advanced!
  10. Anybody know what the bit rate will be for VOLTE? Just curious.
  11. Comeetely agree with you, where I live, verizon owns 100% of the 850mhz spectrum due to the alltel merge. Regulators simply don't do their job.
  12. I haven't seen any yet
  13. Anybody seen LTE in clover? I assume this is part of the Charlotte market.
  14. Do they run fiber up to the RRH? I've seen other carriers do this, just curious.
  15. On at&t, sorry I didn't specify. Patently waiting for sprint to get things going here.
  16. Battery life has been superb on my iPhone 5. I stream about an hour of music, at least an hour of browsing a day, some texts, and I can get throughout than a full day. In fact, sometimes I get more than 24 hours from a single charge, I'll just charge my phone before leaving for work in the morning. All while connected to LTE 99% of the time.
  17. Does anyone know if sprint has upgraded any of the NASCAR tracks or deployed LTE? This would seem like a great place to deploy it, especially since they are the main sponsor. I haven't seen a single piece of information about it.
  18. Nice of them to box around Ohio lol. I saw cleveland was on the stage 3 list, any chance of NV coming here this year?
