  1. I was reading that and I noticed "Most importantly, to promote long-term competition, encourage auction participation, and prevent the further consolidation of spectrum below 1 GHz, the Commission should adopt rules that prohibit any licensee from acquiring more than a certain percentage of spectrum below 1 GHz, applied on a market-by-market basis. As we have noted elsewhere, adopting a spectrum-based cap equal to one-third of the available commercial mobile spectrum below 1 GHz would give bidders reasonable assurances that they can meaningfully compete for spectrum in a geographic area without the risk of only one or two of the largest carriers commandeering the entire market. Increasing the potential for successful participation will lead to increased participation by competitive carriers and ultimately increased revenue." Watch out AT&T and Verizon?
  2. Ah I get it
  3. PRL update? Edit: never mind, still 55010 which came out in January
  4. Wow 44% already, a month ago in December we were at 25% I think? That's fast keep it up sprint! (Or rather, Samsung!)
  5. Safari feels snappier! I'm really sorry, I just had to
  6. I also have these issues in San Francisco, I get randomly dropped to 1x and when that occurs nothing works (iMessage, calls, texts, data, etc). Toggling airplane mode fixes it temporarily though.
  7. Wonder how t-mobile will take this, after all they've been advertising about bringing unlocked iPhones over
  8. I vaguely remember Steve jobs saying something about how while it takes 3 weeks to get permits for cell towers in texas, it takes 3 years to get permits for cell towers in San Francisco. Of course it's easier for sprint since they're just upgrading stuffs instead of building new towers but it's the same lesson: San Francisco is difficult when it comes to things cell tower related.
  9. I hope it's a sign of work in progress, but I don't think so considering that I get this problem in a large part of the city such as the Golden Gate park, Chinatown, the portola district, and the sunset district. My routes around these areas vary so I cover a good portion of the city in a week easily. Recently however, I've been able to get back onto EVDO quicker so that it isn't as annoying as before where when I dropped to 1x nothing would work for a few minutes. I'm still confused at what is happening though...
  10. Oh dear, something is definitely wrong, I don't expect LTE speeds to drop to that level for a while, though Verizon might get there in congested areas....
  11. I doubt that we'll have domestic LTE roaming because of politics and money Well hopefully we'll at least see global LTE roaming because of the GTI. Getting clearwire will allow sprint to take part in this. Now if only if dish would stop getting in the way of the deal
  12. Ah that makes sense, had my hopes up for a moment there Still though, it was a very peculiar sight to see
  13. On my way home riding the bus in San Francisco, I look at my status bar and see something which left me completely confused.... LTE and extended (roaming) right next to each other. I did take a screenshot but I don't know to upload a picture via mobile so when I do get home I'll post the picture.
  14. Been having an issue with connectivity in SF, I can't stay connected to EVDO with my iPhone 5, I've tried restoring, updating the carrier files and traveling around the city but no matter what happens, it will randomly drop me to 1x and texts/calls don't word while data does
